I just saw found this stat after looking at John Lackey's complete game log from 2013....it will probably jinx the play, but it's certainly very interesting. I know Bud Norris is starting for O's...but this number is hard to ignore....
In John Lackey's 23 starts this year for the Red Sox, only ONE of those 23 games has ended with MORE than 9.5 total runs scored in the game.
Bud Norris hasn't been great of late, but he does have a 4.02 ERA vs. the AL this year. He may do just well enough to hold up his end of the bargain....and coming off of that beat down from yesterday, O's will be motivated to play a good game today and this game should go UNDER.
