    Angels vs. Mariners

Seattle may have found some confidence in their bats this past weekend vs. Boston, but look for Game 1 of this series to be dominated by each teams respective pitching staffs.

Felix Hernandez got shelled his last time out vs. NY at home, and he'll be sure to put forth a solid effort tonight. Though he hasn't won many games of late, the 'Under' has cashed in 6 of his L/8 overall starts, and is a perfect 3-0 in starts vs. Los Angeles in his career. The M's have dropped 20 in a row to AL West teams, which is unheard of, and will be up against it tonight vs. an Angels team that only finds itself 5.5 games out in the West and 8 games out in the Wild card.

Kelvim Escobar has seen the 'Under' cash in 14 of his 23 starts this season, and comes into tonight's game dealing only allowing 11 earned runs in 21 innings of work in his L/3 starts. He's held the Mariners bats in check throughout his career attaining a 4-3 mark with a 4.54 ERA in 13 total starts. He most recently shut the M's down 11 days ago only allowing 7 hits and 1 run while striking out 7 and walking 1 in 7 innings of work.
