Who's giving verlander another chance today?
Man.. This guys a complete diff player since last year. Average at BEST... He had a bad start 2 games ago, we ALL took Detroit last game he pitched expecting a bounce back and we all lost lol... His fastball this year is so FLAT. Hitters are picking it up and smacking it like its a damn 80mph fastball. Does he get it done today? Can the famous verlander get his ass handed 2 him 3 games in a row vs a struggling Washington lineup?.

Tough to say but I might be a sucker about it and take a shot. He's another perfect example of baseball paying players for what they have done and not what they are going to get during the life of the contract. Granted he could bounce back and has plenty of years left on his deal to do so but I compare him to Halladay in the sense that the heavy innings toll over the years may have finally caught up to him.

yea i wanna pull the trigger but gio is a beast.. and no miggy in the lineup. Gio has 22 strikeouts in his last 2 games... This kid has amazing talent. Still dont understand how badly verlander has become. He averages 3-4 strikeouts a game. how pathetic is that... Hes always being hit and his fastball is so flat. worries me

i feel u...didnt even know cabrera was out...didnt even see the lineup posted yet...yea gio has been on point for the last couple months but he had a terrible start to the season himself....pitchers r streaky...verlander might [pitch like his old self and all of the sudden win 10 in a row

I've been back and forth on this game here this morning. Just don't know if I really want to back Verlander at this point, probably a no play for me.

Man fuk this... Lets get this money guys. I'm sure after 2 bad starts verlander and pitching coach must have looked over video, what verlander is doing wrong.. Etc: I just can't see how u go from verlander last year to this year getting bombed like a scrub 3 games in a row

if i play it, i may parlay it with something but it will be very small...

if there is one team that has offense bad enough for verlander to flourish its the Nationals.

The Tigers are a salty 13-1 SU (since June 23 2006) at home interleague play when Verlander starts. The only loss came to the Cardinals and Anthoney Reyes back on Oct. 21 2006

Gio is a beast on the road and against a tough opposing pitcher. He just shows up for these moments. Loving the Nationals at +120.

all that and Nats only cashed 1 run. Nats backers celebrating after a half inning is glorious!
