    Ward's Picks from Mid-Season on
It's time start posting. Hopefully I can give everyone some winners without a bunch of haters coming out from trollville talking shit. I've hit just over 64% this year in baseball and im just going to try and continue that Momentum. I do not make plays just for the hell of it. I spend about 4-6 hours a day researching the games. No system plays or other bullshit. Do the research and find winners. That's the strategy folks.

I have a 1/2 unit play on the All Star game tonight.

    I am taking the under 8 @-110. $55/50

Hey Ward thanks for the picks and good luck in the second half!

Any thoughts on LAD @ WAS tomorrow? I'm leaning Dodgers +140 and I'm not sure why the line is is high on the Nats (other than maybe it being overpriced bc Stras is pitching).

I'm leaning phi as well but Hefner scares me. He's been a flatout stud the past 2 months. I was thinking about the under instead.

My lean would be towards the Dodgers too, strasburg is probably the most square bet pitcher so line should realistically be near +110 or so on Dodgers. Having said that, nolasco has ok numbers in two starts for Dodgers but the last one he easily could of given up 6 or 7. Lots of runners and lost of missed meatballs by Rockies hitters.

thanks and good luck the rest of the year too!

He has been a stud but the .426 avg for the phillies hitters intrigues me even without Howard's 5 for 6 against Hefner. I also think the phillies lineup is better without Revere and with Ruf instead of Howard. The Phil's are 9-3 in last 12 and have been quietly playing solid baseball. I can't argue with the under play but I think Hefner regress towards his real self in the 2nd half so hopefully it starts tomorrow night.

Thanks for the feedback, Ward. I noticed that too about Nolasco recently, but I think his performance vs Nats hitters over the past 3 years could outweigh this. Nats active players have a .218 BA, .264 OBP and .299 SLG vs Nolasco. I think this might be a good matchup for him, or at least better than the +140 number indicates.

Awesome. I'm going to play it too after a little more research to cover my bases (no pun intended). Definitely seems like good value here...

Yankees are 8-2 SU when playing boston in Boston. But I do like the Whitesox. Please comment.

I'm not a big fan of record's like that just because those games could of been played months ago and entirely different lineups now(for the yanks). I'm more concerned with the .338 BA and .850 OPS for current Red Sox hitters against Pettiete. Doubront has pitched well vs yankees in past too while posting a .201 avg by yankees hitters. Also the yankees only hit .235 overall vs lefties this year.

And NJN pointed out some good #'s for Nolasco so I'm playing small on Dodgers as well.

Liked Boston as well but on the run line instead of paying that juice where home favorites who win also cover the 1.5 roughly 70% of the time so good way to get few extra bucks out of the bookie if pick your spots. Keep up good work.

Ward - I'm on Tampa +105 tonight with Archer taking on Dickey. Same situation as yesterday's game where the advantage goes to the Rays in almost every category (i.e. Archer pitching well lately and Dickey inconsistent, TB hitting better than TOR, Dickey giving up lots of fly balls and home runs vs a fly ball hitting team, etc.)

My only concern with this one is that Dickey has great career numbers vs TB: Rays active batters have .132 BA, .211 OBP, and .209 SLG over 143 PA vs Dickey. But literally everything else points to TB in my opinion, so ill go with that.

Sorry guys, I will usually take Sundays off if the week has been good to me unless there is a 4+unit play. I didn't have one of those yesterday and most of my leans lost anyways. So back here on Monday with hopefully some winners:

                                              orioles @-120 for 2 units, $240/200

Same situation as yesterday's game where the advantage goes to the Rays in almost every category (i.e. Archer pitching well lately and Dickey inconsistent, TB hitting better than TOR, Dickey giving up lots of fly balls and home runs vs a fly ball hitting team, etc.)

My only concern with this one is that Dickey has great career numbers vs TB: Rays active batters have .132 BA, .211 OBP, and .209 SLG over 143 PA vs Dickey. But literally everything else points to TB in my opinion, so ill go with that.

Sorry for lack of response, I hope you hammered this one. My lean would of been on jays because of those strong dickey numbers but he's almost impossible to rely on, like the knuckler, he is literally all over the place.

I like the under in the Yankee game quite a bit. Very solid career numbers for both pitchers vs opposing hitters but ogando coming off the DL scares me a little bit.
