    Texas Rangers -1.5 (110)

Call me pig headed. Call me what you want, but I'm going right back to the well tonight with the Rangers after they've let me down in each of the first two games of this series.

They got lucky last night since the BJ's were able to get the best of the red hot A's, and stayed 9 and 6.5 games back in the AL West and Wild Card race. They can't allow any more of these types of games to get away from them for the rest of the year.

Tonight's match-up pits Kevin Millwood vs. the junkball lefty Casey Fossum. The Rangers hold a solid pitching advantage here tonight, and have hit lefties all season long. In fact, they're 20-15 SU this year against south-paws and have averaged 5.3 RPG. The D'Rays have trouble hitting righties, and Millwood's one of the better ones in the league. He should limit them to the paltry 4 runs they've averaged on the year. On top of that, Millwood's been fantastic away from the Ameriquest Field going 8-2 with a solid 3.29 ERA.

The Rangers have hit Fossum well the L/3 times they've seen him. They touched him up for a total of 25 hits in 14 innings of work, and won tow of those three games. With Mgr Showalter stressing just how important these games are before taking on Oakland for the weekend, I expect nothing short of two straight wins the next two nights. The first comes tonight, and it will be by a very large margin!!!

Tampa has played Texas tough, but I think the Rangers will to Fossum tonight.
