Liriano has been owning a lot people lately.

I'm not surprised every one is on the Pirates but I think the Cubs have a better chance of winning this game than the line indicates. That's why I think the Cubs may warrant a play.

i played pit at -120. i wouldnt have even looked at them at this number, i have a good history of losing when i clock a closer by this much so you may be onto something..

not sure i agree about liriano, he has looked really good and nothing to suggest he cant continue. ppl are making less contact when they swing than any time in his career, chase more out of the zone than ever before, clearly he has the stuff, i guess maybe if teams start taking more pitches since he throws less in the zone and his fastball isnt as dominate but i mean the guy is good.. 2 biggest factors for me playing pit were liriano and how he has treated this lineup (81 abs, 27ks, 8 hits) and the fact that samardzija for whatever reason has never been very productive on 5 days rest which his is today, then of coarse pit has a big pen adv late which never hurts.. but i dont blame ya cause i blindly fade 25 cent moves a lot when i see them and do better than i do being on a line early that moves like this.. like the ff under and gm under as well, prob only thing i would have looked at if line opened up in the -140 range.

I like the Cubs here a little bit also. This price seems crazy to me. Pirates*are*0-6 this year starting a road trip and Cubs 4-1 first game after a road trip. Worry a little bit about Cubs bullpen everytime I play them. They can blow a game in 3 pitches.

This bet looks like it's f*cked. I took the Cubs expecting a little bit of pitching out of them and Samardzija is getting his

ripped.

It's only 4-2 but the Pirates have been spraying the ball all over the yard where as the Cubs had a walk and then one good swing.

The top of the third pretty much sums up these teams. The Pirates lead off man lays down a bunt. The Cubs third baseman has a tough play but a play a big league player should make. He throws a one hopper to the 1st baseman, the first baseman should be able to pick it but can't. The lead off guy gets on. Then he steals second base and we have the start of a big inning.

The Pirates do all of the little things. The Cubs just can't quite make the plays they need to.
