The power numbers are down but he's hitting a very respectable .283

i'm not really all that sold on this guy being a real threat anymore.
it seems like every time i watch this guy play this year in clutch spots he screws it up some how. if that happens alot while playing in NY the media will drive him nuts.

Doesn't do them any good if Pedro doesn't come around. Should have made a move for Zito.

They should of just kept Xavier Nady.
Then made a push for another good starting pitcher. With Pedro being hurt.

OK, 'nuff bout this Pedro being hurt stuff. Like I said before, if he said he had a headache he'd have gone on the DL with the lead they have...he'll make 4-5 warmup starts in Sept. for the playoffs and be rested and strong. To reiterate, he's ONLY on the DL because the Mets have such a big lead and want him rested. Period. End of discussion. Oh, and I'll take Green over Nady any day of the week.
Now, as far as adding Green, in a word, WOOHOO! The playoff lineup, assuming Floyd is healthy, and he should be:
Reyes
Green
Beltran
Delgado
Wright
Floyd
LoDuca
Valentin
Valentin and LoDuca might flip-flop, we'll see what Willie does. This is just a guess, but I assume the lefties are going to be split up and Green in the 2-hole is nice, he's faster than LoDuca although not hitting for as high an average...in front of Beltran, he may hit .320!
And what a walk-off tonight! Did I mention, WOOHOO!
