Have a pretty strong lean to the 'over' in this game for multiple reasons:
- Carlos Carrasco - enough said.
-There is a lot of History between Carrasco and Billy Butler, Butler is 3-7 recently (6-13 overall) with 2 HRs and several RBIs, he was also hit by Carrasco and served a 5-game suspension (Carrasco). Butler, Francoeur, Getz, Gordon, Hosmer, all have good numbers against Carrasco, with Butler and Gordon having HRs, and Hosmer having several XBHs off Carrasco.
-James Shields has been great this season, and despite holding a 2.79 ERA on the year is 2-6, and has received an avg. of 3 runs per start (one of the lowest in baseball). However KC is hitting much better in their recent stretch, they have won 8 of their last 10, scoring an avg. of 5.6 runs their last 5 games. Cleveland's Kipnis, Aviles, Brantley all have some good split stats against Shields.
-In all of Carrasco's recent starts against KC, every-game has gone 'over' the total, In all of James Shields last 3 starts dating back to 2010 against Cleveland, all games went 'over' the total.
I would like to write more, but wanted to get this play out earlier (@ least 30 mins before the game started), been a busy start to the week.
