the Training applied to 1st Five Innings...

i am starting a thread with selections for mostly 1st Five Innings*picks.

The reason why i favor the 1st Five Innings, is that i have on several occasions had a game winning until the 7th, 8th or 9th innings..
in my experience this has happened more often than being behind, and then rescued by the late rally. (exhilarating, but rare)

there are simply too many unknown variables that occur (for my taste) between the 5th and 9th innings..
i have tried.. and either:

1) i can't figure it out.. period.
2) or.. i have not devoted enough time yet to do so (which i am unwilling to do)

IF i feel very, very strongly about a game, i can go max 1st Five and then a smaller wager on the entire Game..

but usually, a modest wager on 1st Five will suffice..
i am not trying to break the bank, and i generally feel that is a bad practice anyways ,
and should not be held in the mind as an actual objective (that is for the movies, really).

Money: i tend to do best with the Run Line..
i have found that many times the Favorites can afford the –0.5 Run..
and the Underdogs can use the +0.5 Run

it simply started some months ago after i thoroughly cleaned my key
(around all the edges and sides of the individual keys). and the brand new
Mac keyboards are incompatible with the operating system i am running..

It's not just that they're complex -- it's that managers baby their starters and overuse their relievers despite their ineffectiveness for the most part. I've never seen anything like it in sports, where teams take out the better players because of some arbitrary pitch count that has for some reason become the bible for most ballclubs. It's insanity and groupthink at its worst.

Can you imagine if Gibson or Koufax or Cy Young were limited to 100 pitches per start?

Amen to that. Bullpen management... to me, from manager to manager– it seems like i would need a chart of what any particular manager drank how many beers the previous evening.. lol.. real head-scratchers..*

i agree it's insanity, Dr. No
i finally gave up.. to many variables.. managers put in their absolute worst guy in, when they need
just 6 outs to win..

i only go Game now, when my figures point to overall better record.. then maybe i'll indulge in a (-1.5 Runs)
or go large.. but i consider 1st Five to be amongst the safest wagers out there.

and *get lucky on them too sometimes.. the scores often change dramatically after the 6th innings. Weird.
sticking with them for now.
