    My plays (Wannabe Sharp)
I'm 7-3 the past two days, we'll see if I can keep it up (I know its unlikely though). If you have criticism and see something that I missed let me know, this is my first real attempt at handicapping baseball

    6/2 Plays

    Pirates/Reds U(7.5)
both have gone under five of the past six. With Latos and Gomez on the mound, both of who just pitched good games against solid hitting teams(CLE, DET) I don't see how it wouldn't be low scorer.

    Dodgers +126
I'll take Ryu over Rosa. Especially since Rosa hasn't beaten the Dodgers in at least the past four years (though it wasn't always his fault)

    Tigers -127
I really don't get this line(anyone with an explanation?), it seems it should be at least 25 points higher. Porcello over Gausman all day.

    Mariners/Twins O(8.5)
Last three games for Bonderman and Diamond have been Over, Bonderman (with some help from the bullpen) in particular could may single handedly give bettors the Over.

    Athletics/White Sox U(7)
Sale has been on a tear which makes it a little suprising the Sox are the underdog. Parker looks horrible first glance but he has pitched well the past 3 gms giving up six runs in 21 innings. Both teams have been going under lately as well which sweetens the deal a little more.

    Plays I almost Bit

-Twins and Cards on the Runline
    -Braves/Nationals U(8)

Settled for a split this afternoon with Ramos dropping a deuce on my chest in the first, and then again with Broxton in the 8th after I thought Cincy may pull the Under out.

      Day: 2-2 (-.42U)
      TTL: 9-5 (+3.53U) since May 31.

      Plays Almost bit

Padres -145 for the sweep at home, with Volquez (coming of a one run seven inning game) at home where the Padres have been dominating.

        6/3 Plays

        Rockies +116
Colorado has lost four of its last five in Cincy and 4 of its last 6 on the road, I think that changes tonight. Chatwood will come into Cincy giving up no runs in 12 innings of work on the road facing a Reds team he has never pitched against. While Arroyo has enjoyed success against the Rocks last year with a 7 inning shutout, he has so far struggled against teams that hit the ball better than average. While Helton and Gonzales have been successful against him.

        Yankees RL +175

Pettitte has allowed 4 runs in the past 23 innings against the indians (one each game). Granted Masterson has pitched well this year ... but mainly at home, on the road in his past two starts he's allowed 12 in 12 innings of work. And he hasn't faired well at Yankee stadium in the past. Not too mention the Indians have lost 8 of their last 9 on the road vs the Yankees.

        Indians/Yankees U8.5(-115)
Masterson hasn't pitched well in Yankee stadium and the pinstripes have lit up the Indians so far this year. But the Yankees have not been hitting all too well recently, they've face some solid pitching lately and should fare well against Indians but only for about five runs. I think that at the end of nine, the final should be something like 5-1, 4-2.

        Astros Angels U8.5(-105)
Blanton has been solid against the Astros in the past, and that shouldn't change tonight. While Bedard has also enjoyed success in his three outings the past four years against the Angels. Factor in a solid last outing against the Rockies and the Angels struggles against the Left handed pitching, it should be enough for the Under.

        White Sox O7 (-120)
Danks has enjoyed past success against in Seattle, though last year's only outing yielded 4 runs in six innings while Seattle has fared better against lefties, add in Suanders 11 runs in 11 innings in his two most recent starts against the White Sox with Konerko returning to the lineup and I'll discard Chicago's woes against lefties.

In hindsight: Pettitte is absolutely horrible at home but even with that said the Game Total on the Yankees was the play, with the Indians giving up seven runs. I said Arroyo was overrated, but not at home and should have caught that and not of ignored his shutout last year against the Rockies. If I take this into account the Under is was the play, given I thought the Rockies would of pitched a good game, which they did. Good calls on Phillies and As/Brewers O/U but dead money doesn't count.

            2-3 yesterday -.75U
            TTL: 11-8 (+2.78U)

Will focus more on what pitchers have done recently with how they fare Road vs. Home then look at past history against their opponent.
            6-4 Plays

            Nationals RL +120
Nicasio gave up five runs in his last outing, while Zimmerman gave up 7. Difference is Nicasio gave up his to Houston at Home with Zimmerman to the Orioles on the road, now Nicasio will find himself on the road where he has 4.94 era to Zimms 1.50. Mets just dropped three to Miami at home and will head to Washington. Washington is due for a good outing batting wise and will look to do it against Nicasio who they have had some success against in the past.

            Royals -135
Mendoza has been solid in his last three outings against competition including the A's and Cards on the Road. His home ERA worries me some but he has had success in the past against the Twins. Twins have won 6 of last 7 but it has been at home against weak competition and will travel Kauffman where they have lost four of their last five. Looking for Royals to hit the ball well after going through the Rangers.

            Orioles -178
Tillman is a Road dog pitching a 2.59 ERA with wins in Oakland and Boston. Harrell has given up 5+ runs to the A's and Tigers at home and will face the Orioles who are also one the best batting teams in the league.

            White Sox/Mariners O6
Two of the worst hitting teams in Baseball face off, but the pitching should be just as bad. Peavy has been taken for 10 runs in his past two road games. While Hernandez has pitched decent at home considering the competition, he hasn't faired well against the Sox in the past. you add in a run or two from a couple of horrible bullpens and I think you get a total over six.

Cubs +170 (bet to win 1U)
Cubbies have played better recently and will go against the struggling Angels who just dropped 4 in a row at home to the Astros. Cubs have been hitting well and the Angels bats have been cold, so I'll take Feldman over Weaver in this spot.

              Adding Jays/Giants O 7.5
The only reason I could find to not take this bet was the public is on it 90+ percent. Two teams that put up runs going agianst:
Lincecum has allowed nine runs in in his last two at home.
Johnson 6.86 era and gave up six in the first inning of his only road game in Detroit.

Both teams have combined for 30 runs so far this series and have a strong tendency for going over.
Lets see if everyone gets played by Vegas.

And the public on O of Tor/SF was the reason, played by Vegas. Also couldn't get an extra run from the Nationals who were down going into the ninth, bullpen did what I hoped just thought they would have started in the sixth or seventh.

Teheran at Home against the cold bats of Pittsburgh, he has allowed 13 in his last 41 while getting help from one of the best bullpen in the league. Meanwhile aside from Wandy 7 run stinker to MIL he hasn't faired to bad on the road, and will play the Braves again whom he pitched a 7 inning shutout already this year. Braves batting has been what you would expect over the past week but struggles against lefties.

                        Yankees -164
Yankees look to get a series sweep and win six in a row against the Indians with Sabbathia on the mound pitching 2.96 era at home, allowing just one run in the past 14 innings against the Indians while pitching very well in his last outing against the Red Sox, who have been hitting the ball better than anyone over the past couple weeks. Kluber pitched one run in six innings last road outing against the Yanks but still sports a 4.45 ERA on the road. He may very well pitch a good game but Cleveland has one of the worst bullpens in the league, and Kluber only pitches five or six innings per start.

You don't fade Iwakuma at home, in his six games in Seattle he's pitched a 1.34 ERA facing Oakland, Texas, and Detroit in five of those. Now he goes against a White Sox team that couldn't score 4 runs if they were being pitched a soccer ball. The only thing that worries me is the bullpen but he very well may go nine innings.

Smart Money doesn't agree with this one, but I'm going with it. Zito was lit up his last time against Toronto and will look for redemption in San Francisco where he tosses a 1.34 ERA for 4 wins. Toronto is not the same team they are at home, as they are bat a .237 avg, and have a sub .300 OBP. Add in Dickey's 4.69 ERA on the road against a team that hits well and wins at home, I think it's worth a bet.

                              Angels -160
Vargas has won his last four at home and hasn't had a bad home game since his first against Oakland, pitching a 2.53 ERA at home and will going against the worst road batting team in baseball. The Cubs have been hitting well the past week, but these have been home games where they actually like to give their pitchers run support. Otherwise Garza will be pitching on the road where he has a 4.00 ERA factor in he only pitched nine innings in those two games. This game may stay close but I'm expecting a Angels win 4-3, 3-1.

                              COL TTL O3 (-125)
Cueto has been good at Home this year but he hasn't faced a team that can hit the ball like Colorado can, who took him for 10 runs in 10 innings last year one home game and one away, he also hasn't been able to get support from his bullpen this year either. I like the Over at 8.5 for this game but I like this more.

                              Twins +120
Huge line move and with good reason, Walters has only pitched in one road game but it was a six run two inning win at COAmerica. He'll be facing the coldest hitting team over the past week and one of the worst at home. Guthrie has given up nine runs in his last two starts and will be one the hotter hitting teams in baseball in the Twins. Minnesota also has one of the best bullpens in the league. I don't really see anything favorable for KC other than Guthrie 3.05 ERA and a solid last outing against the Cards but I don't think it will be enough.

                              Padres +200 (.5U to win 1U)
Best heavy underdog play of the night IMO. Aside from his last outing Marquis has pitched well on the Road including a win in Baltimore and a seven inning one run win in LA this year. And while the Padres have struggled with Lefties they were able to get 3 runs out of Kershaw in LA before blowing up their bullpen. Dodgers do not farely well at home and this line is too big to pass up with what I think is a favorable pitchers matchup for the Padres.

Other Plays I was thinking about

                              Orioles/Astros O9

I like Bud Norris home, Houston has won seven of their last eight and looks to win the series. Houston has been a solid play on the runline after a win.

Holland has pitched very well past couple of weeks and Boston doesn't hit lefties very well. Lester is due for a good game and throws a solid first 15-20 pitches.

                                  Oakland TTL O4.5 (-125)
After yesterdays epic game against Seattle Sox head home with Quintana on the mound, facing a team that knows how to run up the pitch count and get on base. Not good considering how much the bullpen has pitched the past couple days. Quintana gave up 3 runs in five innings against Oakland in his last outing. I would take the entire game over but Straily has been real good lately.

Phillies RL (-165) To Win .5U
Milwaukee has been a good fade after a loss and the Phillies have won 9 of 12 in Milwaukee. Peralta pitched a good game last outing a few days ago in Philly but he seems to pitch better on the road then at home.

                                  Rockies -143
Chacin hasn't been pitching well of late but that will change tonight when he faces the Padres. Chacin has pitched a 2.31 ERA against the Padres so far this year I look for that to continue. Cashner hasn't pitched well of late either, in his only 2 innings against the Rockies this year he gave up two runs. Rockies have been a good home play when favored so far this year and have won their last five against the Padres in Colorado.

                                  Dodgers TTL O3.5 (Even)
Hudson has a 7.67 ERA on the road and if you take out the game against Washington it gets much worse. Dodgers are not the best batting team but I like their chances against Hudson even with a stellar Atlanta bullpen.

Other Plays I was thinking about

4-2 Yesterday, 1-2 on RL, ML. I could of stayed away from the Astros game as Rodriguez hasn't played all that well on the road, but it's been against the best batting teams in the majors, still liked the play just couldn't get an extra run. Another heavy favorite loss by one run ... I'll figure it out.

Tigers/IndiansO8 (-115)Would ofexpected the public to be betting heavier on the under, but I like this playanyways. Verlander has been torched bythe Indians this year, and Jimenez was as well in his last outing and he’ll befacing the best home batting team in league with and on whose batting avg. is over.300 the past seven days. They’re notthe best team to take on the Over after a win (much much better after a loss)but this line screams OVER.

                                          Rays TTL O4(-135)
                                          Rays RL +185(To win 1U)
Hammel gaveup 7 runs in his last outing against TB at home in a 10-12 shootout, and youexpect me to believe he won’t give up at least 4 runs in TB? I highly doubt it. Rays haven’t been hitting well past week butthey’ve been on a lengthy road stand and will return home where the hit muchbetter. Over for the whole game looksgood even at 9 since Archer is pitching, but I like this play better.

                                          Royals/Astros U7.5 (-125) To win.5U
Might beclose, but it should be good. Shields pitchedan excellent game in Texas and has a solid bullpen to backing him up. Lyles has pitched well in his two games onthe road and the Royals can’t suck balls at hitting. Astros could pull out a win as well.

                                          Rockies -165
If I losethis I’m just going to stop handicapping the Rockies. La Rosa has been beaten by the Padres in hislast five outings, aside from one game against San Fran he’s been solid at homeall year and he even picked up a win in the San Francisco game. Meanwhile Volquez just got blasted by Toronto and was blasted by Colorado at home inApril; now he will head to Colorado where a similar outcome is very likely.

Doubront has pitched well lately and will go against a team that struggles against lefties. Hanson has not pitched well lately, he will go against what is probably the hottest batting team in the league. The Angels have won their last five in Boston, but have lost five of their last six to the Astros and Cubs and have been a good play after a loss.

Liking the Over again today, Masterson has struggled on the Road this year and the Tigers have hit the Indians as well. While Porcello has given up some big games at home. Cleveland hasn't hit the ball to well lately but swings better on the road and has been a good play for the Over after a loss.

Sox have lost 10 last 11, Oakland has won 7 of last 8 against pretty soft competition and should continue to do so today. Milone is pitching better and typically gets run support, while Danks hasn't faced a team that can hit like the A's so far this year.

STL is hitting very very well, but Latos has been solid against the Cards so far this year and throws an outstanding first 30 pitches. While the Reds have faired poorly so far against the Cards who are pitching very well, with your three lead off guys not hitting the ball to well right now and two of them struggling against lefties ... I feel its worth a small bet.
