Braves at Nationals - Aug 17th
    Braves Will Best Nats

A couple of hurlers who have spent most if not all of the season in the bullpen get the starting nods today in the Braves-Nationals contest.

    By: Rocky Atkinson

Atlanta is 46-22 since 1997 on the road when the total is 10 to 10 1/2. The Braves' offense is scoring 5.5 runs per game on the road and 5.4 rpg against right-handed pitching this year.

Oscar Villarreal, Atlanta's starter in this one, is 8-1 in all games this year. This will be Villarreal's first start of the year after working exclusively from the pen so far and posting a 4.48 ERA in 60.1 IP.

Washington's starter, Jason Bergmann, is making just his second start of the season and has a 7.62 ERA in all games this year. Bergmann also has a 9.00 ERA vs Atlanta since 1997.

We'll recommend a small play on the Atlanta Braves today. Thanks and good luck.
