That's exactly what I'm saying. I don't care about the movement or the market. This guy said take Padres and I said I wouldn't and his response is the line movement. Like I posted in another forum. The only thing that hurts Travis Wood is the HR and with hard wins blowing in, I love Wood. So he can take his movement and I will take the knowledge of the game. I don't need to beat the market to win money. I took the Cubs -140, not costing me anything that at game time it is -120 if I win.

obviously you'd love to lay less juice, but if you rely on your knowledge of the sport, you're fine. This isn't the NBE where spreads are involved and you can lose in the last 2 seconds of the game.

let's say your unit size is $100. that's $20 difference. in the long run, it all adds up.

Really? How am I losing anything if I win you damn fool. If I bet $140 to win $100 or $120 to win $100, it's not costing me anything if I win. Obviously I will take the best price, but I don't take a bet I like and then regret it b/c the line moves against me...that's the point of all this.

Nice call tho. Miami however.. not too sure abt that pick, Kendrick has been pitching well and Philly is back home after consecutive losses, no Stanton in the lineup for Miami, I think Philly really shows up to play and the splits stats aren't good for Miami on the road.
