You wouldn't have a job anymore.

    In any profession.

    Other than possibly weather forecasting.

Seriously, baseball is the only sport on the planet where you can suck this bad, for this long, as consistently as possible, yet somehow still resurface.

        There are plenty in MLB.

In the NFL, you'd get cut.

In the NBA, you'd be lucky to ever leave the bench -- or be in the NBDL.

In baseball, if you're Mazarro, Brandon Lyon, Heath Bell, etc., you just keep resurfacing as shitty updated versions of your former self. The only thing that changes is the uniform.

Agree. He's been awful at every stop, yet he keeps getting chances.

I have no clue how Ubaldo Jimenez is still pitching in the big leagues. guy was completely useless last year and I don't think his doing too well either. The Rockies must be thanking God everyday.

Ubaldo's last outing was great (vs Royals); that has me planning to consider fading him next time out. As for the Rockies, you would think that would be the case, but Alex White really struggled, was traded to Astros for Wilton Lopez and now needs Tommy John surgery, while Drew Pomeranz struggled in the bigs in two shots but now is looking decent for Rocks AAA team. So, Rocks traded clearly flawed Ubaldo for a talented guy who has struggled but is improving in AAA and not yet 25 plus a decent reliever who is off to a rough start this season. Eh, on second thought, you're totally right now that i see it in writing. I'd love to have Pomeranz and Wilton Lopez for Ubaldo right now. Bah.

Ubaldo got paid. He's making almost $6 million this year, win or lose. What does he care now? It's all guaranteed. Zero incentive left to pitch well. That's the problem with MLB.

Or he was never any good, and overachieved during that run he went on.

He went from effectively wild to just plain wild.

He's back, and its a close game too. I know the Pirates do not spend money, but why spend the little you have on a never was in Mazzaro?

You bring Mazarro in when it's 7-1 -- not 2-1.

                                Easiest bump ever.

                                Got one out tonight.

                                9 runs. 8 earned.
