Kenny Rogers Out of Gas?

Take a look at rogers' 2nd half stats throughout his career. He is notorious for collapsing in the 2nd half.

the tigers only really needed him to have a good first half anyway, and now that bonderman, verlander and roberson are going he is the 4th starter anyway....

Well Kenny Rogers is not getting any younger, and the long season has to wear on him. So I can see why his numbers drop off in the second half.

Maybe they can give Rogers some rest down the stretch so he is a little fresher for the playoffs.

Im sure he fits in the "Dead Arm Syndrome" category.

With the crap he throws up to the plate he needs pinpoint control to be successful. It's been this way for years with him. As the rigors of the season begin to wear on his body, his control is affected and he becomes quite inconsistent.

Any time he wins it's a great overachievement by him and a great underachievement by the team he's facing.
