I think he means that their lineup has hot bats (Joey, Edwin, Melky, Lawrie) not necessarily that they are currently 'hot'.

But how can you not like Jays in this spot-- Yanks took first two at home vs Arizona and dropped 3rd game, same deal here? It's hard to sweep but with Yanks already having won the series, seems like a good time to fade them.
