We followed up Tuesday's win on the Dodgers with a winner on the Mariners yesterday. Today, we'll be fading those same Mariners.
Seattle looked impressive in sweeping Tampa Bay. However, in their previous series, the Mariners were equally unimpressive in getting swept by Oakland. Its worth noting that the Mariners are an ugly 10-25 (-17.5 net games) the last 35 times they were coming off a winning streak of three or more consecutive games. They also tend to struggle here in Texas. In fact, the Mariners are 1-6 their last seven visits here and 6-16 here the past three seasons. Additionally, the M's are a money-burning 19-46 the last 65 times they were road underdogs in the +125 to +150 range. Meanwhile Texas, coming off a 14-0 beating of Zito yesterday, is a healthy 27-6 (9-2 this season) the past 33 times it was listed as a home favorite in the -150 to -175 range. Consider laying the price with the home team.
Prediction: Texas Rangers
