The only good thing in Toronto right now are the Maple Laffs.

I got persuaded lol. Said giants all morning on the first thread and switched. Oh well been killing baseball to start so a little loss isn't going to hurt too bad. Good call and hope I can bounce back tonight

I'm not even talking about just this game, I'm talking about the team in general. As the saying goes, "when the public LOVES a team, go the opposite direction"

Keen insight! I should've waited until 90 minutes into the game, and then picked the tigers. You, sir, are an axx clown.

Not the start they were hoping for.
Johnson so far is failing in trying to learn the American League.
It is batting practice today for the Tigers

They miss the playoffs this year with the over hyped LAA. They'll both be somewhere around 10 games out by the break and won't be able to climb outta the whole. Sox win the division and nyy get a wild card.

Josh Johnson is an exceptionally good pitcher...the fact that the tigers lineup is knocking him around is more a reflection of Detroit's offensive prowess than it is a statement regarding Toronto's perceived ineptitude.

Didn't he get rocked by the Red Sox last week too?

Going to take Johnson time to learn the league.
Bigger problem for Toronto is thinking they could throw in all those new players, and the team chemistry would be fine.
Most of those guys are coming off bad seasons and played on bad teams. Now they are all of a sudden the favorites, and expected to win.

Toronto also misses Lawrie's bat and hustle.
When he gets off the disabled list, he will provide a spark. Then Derosa can sit on the bench where he belongs

Yeah..hahaha...hedged my +$ TOR play with a +EV OVER 8 bet. JJ will not fold, though. Waking up in the AL EAST is a tough assignment for a young pitcher who has never been baptised in fire.
