Jeff Samardzija has struck out the first six through two innings in ATL today

He threw a great first game but it was against the Pirates... 8 innings 9ks no runs only 2 hits and a walk

Do us Cubs fans finally have some hope in the rotation? At least Marmol won't be able to throw away any more games this year!

Cubs offered him 5 yrs for 30M in the off-season but he turned it down if he keeps this up I wonder what the Cubs will shell out to keep him?

He really turned the corner last year.
If he would get in trouble he would lose control of the strike zone and get lit up,but then he started to pitch his way out of jams

Being from Indiana I loved that the Cubs got a Notre Dame grad especially since he was the hype at the time here. I just wish they would've wrapped him up for 5 years this off-season or even 3 years instead of letting him going into the market in the off-season. Hopefully being from Indiana he will want to stick close and work out a deal with Theo.
