Lester, the promising young southpaw, has started to struggle of late. In his last three outings, the 22 year-old is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA and has given up 26 hits in 17.1 innings of work.

Meanwhile, Hudson has fared pretty well in his conversion to starter from his role as a reliever for most of this season. In his five outings as a starter, Hudson has allowed 3 earned runs or less. However, Hudson has only pitched through the 7th inning one time and that does not bode well for the Royals with their horrendous bullpen against David Ortiz and the big bats from Boston.

Kansas City has allowed 74 runs in it's last 8 games, including 7 runs or more in 7 of those 8. The over is
6-1-1 in Kansas City's last 8 games. Boston has also been playing a lot of overs lately, as the over is
10-3-1 in Boston's last 14 games. The over is also
    10-1-1 in Boston's last 12 games as a favorite.

The bottom line is this matchup has all the makings of a high scoring affair. Boston has been swinging the bats well of late and that should continue against Hudson and KC's weak bullpen, while KC should be able to push it's fair share of runs across the plate against the struggling Lester.

    Boston(J. Lester) @ Kansas City(L. Hudson)
    Time: 8:10PM EST
    Line: Boston -160, OVER/UNDER: 10

RECOMMENDED PLAY: OVER 10(Line at Bet365, Pinnacle)

NSA'S ANALYSIS: John Lester(5-1, 3.59 ERA) takes the mound for the Red Sox tonight, while Luke Hudson(4-3, 4.67 ERA) toes the slab for the Royals.
