MLB Player Props 2013

Hello everyone,

I'm back for another year of MLB player props. I did well last year on these props http://forum.sbrforum.com/baseball-b...ps-2012-a.html.

Hopefully, I could get same results this year. For me, MLB is just unpredictable to bet, so I started betting player props last couple years and had some little success. I mostly play "no RBI" and "no run". Here are things that I consider for picking player props:

- Bat vs Pitch: how a player bats against a certain pitcher.

- Hitting orders, for NO RBIs, the first position is the most favorable. For no RUNs, bottom order is the most favorable.

- Opponent pitchers must be at least number 3 starter(based on my estimation), sometimes I play number 4 and 5 pitchers.

- Batting splits: home and away, vs righties, vs lefties.

- Park factors.

- Also, I stay away (as I can) from players of good hitting teams.

Notes:

5dimes starts charging more for these props, so odds are usually from -150 to -250.

And finally I always use mlb.com to look up lineups. Do the team sites post the lineups earlier than mlb.com or are they around the same time?

Hey easy, yeah I hope 5dimes will have these props this year, but for early part of the season, I'll just bet lightly so that I get to know pitchers and hitters. Also, books usually don't post these props for early season games. For the past two seasons, I usually just grind out with these props, I don't bet much on these, my range is .5 - 3 units(to win). Last season, for heavily juiced lines, I put them in a two props parlays. So, it's up to you, but again I don't bet much on these props.

I use espn to look up righty, lefty splits and other stats. So, if you go to a player's stat page on espn, just under profile's picture, there are links to splits, Bat vs Pitch, Game Log,...

I checked until gametime today and they didn't have them. They might indeed be waiting a couple weeks in to know the lineups and know whose betting where before putting up these props

Yeah, you're right. Books don't post these props early, maybe not until two weeks into the season.

Yeah, it's a good idea to ask Tony. I also check the props page everyday to look for these props.

Try Bovada, I've been seeing player props there already. And bovada usually posts their props early in the day

any info on these? their having alot fewer prop options and they might not offer these at all.

Yeah, I had also checked other sportsbooks, they don't even offer player props at all. 5dimes only offers H-R-RBI and matchup props which I think it's harder to win some profits. I might look into match-up props later on.
