Situational vs Statistical when betting MLB
Hey guys, new to betting MLB this year. I was wondering if many of you think there is a large situational component to betting MLB. My plan is going to be to bet only ML and not lay any favorites larger than -160 or so. I have done well in CBB b/c I find a lot of situational reasons to bet and was wondering if there is the same type of strategy for MLB betting as well? Thanks!

Certain situations as in who is pitching and who is in the lineup? yes, that is very important.
Certain situations as in a team just got swept last time they played this team so they're going to try extra hard to win this series? no, that is probably not very important.

Travel days are Sundays/Mondays and Wednesday/Thursdays. Lineups are often not at optimal levels on these days or the day before a day off. Be prepared for this if you're placing bets before lineups are released
