Chase Utley just got a 2 rbi single in the bottom of the 3rd against Dontrelle Willis and the Florida Marlins to extend his hitting streak.

Utley is 0-1 so far in game 2, but is due up this inning.

Utley 0-2 in game two so far. he might get another shot in the bottom of the 6th though.

He went 1 for 3 in the 15-2 lost to the Marlins. After he got his hit, they replaced Chase to give him some rest before the long road trip.

Wasn't his hit questionable today? I thought I heard ESPN say earlier that they may change it. I haven't seen the hit yet, that's why I ask.

Questionable or not, its recorded as a hit. So 32 games it is.

Not exactly true. Official scoring can be changed by MLB. I'm not sure of the process, but it has been done before after a game has concluded.

I agree, it is a very nice accomplishment but he is still
so far away from breaking this record it is extremely
premature to start even thinking he will break this record.

Of course they will hype this cause it is good for baseball
as it brings attention. But at the same time all it is going to
do is setup everyone for the inevitable. Meaning him not
breaking this coveted record..
