Sabathia's situation now is worst.. the guy kicked by the Mets and hoping the Yanks will give him the shelter.. but its unexpected the way Mets refuse to take him.....hopefully Yanks will acquire him.... do they?

Giants should take him, and trade Zito for a 10 year old cuban kid.

I think the Dodgers can use him. Teix will be a halo. The Angels already have enough pitching. The Dodgers are not picking up Penny and Lowe's contract. They need him more. They are letting some of their guys go so they can afford Manny and him.

Reason why the Halos offered a big contract to CC is because they dont want to offer 10 years to Teix, and rumors are redsox are very interested in Teix

The Halos need Teixeira. He was their whole offense. Without him, they are nothing.

I think CC will be a Giant. They have a ton of revenue, much more than people think, and can afford to pay him. With that park it makes sense to build around pitching rather than hitting. Also, they have the home field factor working big in their favor...CC's already said he'd love to play in the Bay.

No I don't think so Giants will acquire him as he's keenly waiting for the Yanks and pick him up... if Giants actually want him then I don't think so he'll be interested in them... but Yanks have to come forward with a decision as early as possible...

CC is probably like most players in the sense that he wants to win a World Series. Going to the Bay seems like a losing proposition.

If he believes that then sure he can do that as well..his skills are undoubtedly incomparable man.....the guys is brilliant and expert in his job that's why several teams are keen to acquire him.....

CC has already proven its not about money as he hasn't taken the yankees offer yet! If he comes to SF Id be happy but the Giants need bats. One guy hit 10+ home runs last year doesnt cut it!

Dont count out the Crew. He really enjoyed his time there. Not sure if its worth 30 mill though. Much depends on his feelings towards Macha.
He will stay in the NL as he loves to hit. One of the few MVP type players that does not think of the cash first.

Most likely will be in Pinstripes next year. Usually the top guy goes to the highest bidder.

I don't understand this post...The Yanks already offered CC ($140m) a major sick deal and he has not moved forward. Are you saying the Mets would refuse to take CC? For the right price everyone would take him!
This is an exciting time if your a baseball fan. I can't wait to see what happens with AJ Burnett who is now linked to the Braves...
Lots of interest this year because of the major pitching talent up for grabs. Also some nice sluggers available after a major down year in home runs. I would be interested to see if big name hitters get paid less now. No Steroids-No Homers.
Lets see what plays out!

At a discount I could see CC with the NYM, but they have too many BP issues to throw him 140ish.

Supposedly he prefers the NL and the West Coast, the Yankees are neither. Money may not be the deciding factor.

Being from the Bay area and his offseason house is in the bay area as well will make him take less money to come to SF

Seems like an obvious choice, but the Giants are a bad team. If he wants west coast i think he plays with the Dodgers or Angels.

You need to factor in the fact that he might actually want to win something.
You also need to factor in the Zito Effect - surrounding yourself in shit for a prolonged period will eventually rub off on your own performance.

Odv a bad team, but I think winning isnt his number one priority being the team who offered the most money and will prob be one of the best teams in the upcoming years!
I think he will sign with a NL team but in all honesty the Giants dont need CC as Much as they need big Bats but we will only see!

I dont think zito affect will rub off on CC as they are 2 totally different type of pitchers! But i am sure pitching for a team that cant get u runs in 50% of your starts can make you shy away from playing there. Just ask Matt Cain!

CC will be a dodger. I got 5 to 1 odds at the beginning of the postseason. Dodgers need pitching the most out of all the possible teams other than the Yanks. Teams like the Dodgers and Giants could use his bat, which is a good asset for a pitcher. The Dodgers have been making room on the payroll for CC. The Giants have not. The Giants already added 16 million to the payroll from signing Renteria, Howry, and Affeldt.

Guess he is not set on the west coast. Everyone wants to win in pinstripes...
Everyone eventually has there price, after listening to the Giants GM on a local Radio station yesterday he made it seem like they are done this off season. Looks like us Giants fans are in for a bunch of under games once again!

So much for the "I want to pitch in the West and the NL" crap that was spouted - the dollar rules every time.

All the Yankees did was replace Mussina's 20 wins for 161 million....still the same team....they will have to spend another 40-50 million on Derek Lowe and 100 million on Texiera to actually field a better team this year...
