Tim Lincecum wins the Cy Young award. He had a great season, and was the only bright spot in another dark season for the Gigantes...
Great Job Timmy

My choice as well. Would've been hard to argue with Brandon Webb who had a great season and has history behind him, but Lincecum was the better overall hurler this year.

No way I could have voted for Tim Lincecum. He wasn't even dominated enough to get his team in the playoff hunt even despite his career year. Webb got robbed !!

The award is not the "Best Pitcher From A Team In the Playoff Hunt." It's for the best pitcher period. Like I said, I wouldn't have thrown a conniption fit if Webb had won it, but to suggest Lincecum wasn't a dominating pitcher this past season borders on the absurd. Why, it's almost like saying George Bush "will go down in history as one of the best presidents the U.S. ever had."

That's a cold shot Willie
If you want to with your rebuttal, then why not give the award to Brad Lidge then. I mean he went perfect in save situations this year, and ended up single Handely winning the world series for the Phillies.

Well the award is voted on before the World Series, Dan, that's the first thing. Secondly, from the vantage point on my couch during this year's Fall Classic, Lidge had a lot of help from others, including Cole Hamels. So I wouldn't even come close to saying he single-handedly won it. And lastly, he qualified more as the Comeback Player, which he indeed won. If I have the time I'll pull up a thread from the 2007 season in which, to paraphrase, you stated he was washed up and why the Astros should just release him.
