with all due respect to the old guy, aren't the 200M pr team suppose to win? so wht up with the big celebration. the NYY should hide they fken faces, they have to fight so much to win a game. absolute BS, i mean vodka lol.

I'm no professional manager and don't play one on tv but if Ibanez isn't intentionally walked every at bat for the rest of this series, somebody should be fired.

werent the patriots "suppose" to beat the giants in the superbowl their undefeated season? No but many ppl would say yes, its sports no one is suppose to win, anything can happen and if the outcome was easily predicted, than vegas wouldnt have so much success with people gambling

Funny that right after hearing for the first time that the O's hadn't had a walk-off loss all year, unlike any team since 1900, they give it up. Am a Yankee hater, and am glad juiceless/useless A-Rod got pulled, but if I had to pick a Yankee to be the hero it would be Raul as he's got class. Quality sportsman, no showboating, ultimate clutch player. What else is funny (or should I say sickening) is that A-Rod this year gets paid 30 million to Raul's 1. The player that gets paid 30X more gets pulled for producing nothing, and the player that gets paid 30X less wins the game. I'd say A-Rod should at least buy Raul a brew tonight for that.

Why is it that managers will never change anything in postseason. They keep doing the same things the same way that they do all season. when you are in a short series you have to spare nobody's feelings and do what is best for the team. I'm talking about Buck Showalter. I know that Jim Johnson had 51 saves this year but right now he is not throwing well. I knew when Ibanez came up there was an excellent chance a HR was coming. AS an Oriole fan I have watched the wild card game and these 3 games with the yanks and in 3 of 4 Johnson has looked real shaky. The best pitcher out of the pen at the moment is Darren O'Day. with his unorthadox delivery he is really giviing hitters fits right now. I would tell Johnson to swallow his pride and make O'Day the closer for the rest of this series. I think I can say with certainty that Ibanez would not have homered off O'Day because he would have not seen a straight flat pitch right down the middle. Just my opinion but thats what I would do as manager.
