Why is Adam Jones Blowing Bubbles While Running Down a Flyball
seriously, in the playoffs? when it is to get a 3rd out and preserve a 1-0 lead and keep Yanks from snatching momentum?

Agreed. It didn't even look like he went after that very hard and then he barely misses it. What was he doing?

It tied the game up at the time, 1-1.

Pretty much because it gave New York a run and the Os ended up losing by 1 in extra innings after blowing the save in the ninth.
It was a routine play and he just misjudged it. He wasn't sprinting for the ball or anything. He was king of jogging, looking down, looking at the wall, blowing bubbles, then at the last second he stuck his glove out and was inches from the ball.

Nailed it! Looked lackadaisical.

as the announcer stated " Jones has always blowing bubbles while chasing balls and he's done quite well doing it, just not this time."
