Worlds biggest Reds fan here and I would take Al Queda on the runline vs the Cards but lets be real. The Nats aren't beating them without Strasburg and the Reds are in deep $hit too with Cueto out and Votto at about 60% at best. The Reds have other options and could pull it off but I doubt it. Whoever wins will have homefield vs the AL too.
I got Cards +115 to win this Nats series and play them vs Cincy too imo. SF too if it they get there which is unlikely.

      Strasburg is a puss.

Carpenter came back and pitched after "season" ending surgery.

      Strasburg should take notes.

Everyone ducked Strasburg because the Nationals set an innings limit and then used up the innings early.

As for Cueto, first the Cards and Reds have to win their respective series, which is no lock.

It's one thing to say you'd root for them but you're saying you'd bet them on the RL, which means you should bet WAS RL.

The Reds fan needs to quit whining about losing a pitcher that doesn't even play everyday.

The Cardinals lost their lead off hitter and starting shortstop (Furcal) as well as Berkman.

So...wait...let me get this straight. In your head no Cueto (cy young caliber) and a 50% Votto (MVP caliber) = no Furcal and an aging Berkman???

Cards fans crack me up. Why don't you go in a corner and bitch about shadows some more like the rest of your team.

Berkman is a loss but you put a fat guy in the outfield.....what do you expect? Furcal is no big loss. No comparison to Cueto and Votto but thats the way it is.

I don't get the Nats with the Strasburg thing either? Why not sit him for August or mid August-mid Sept. That limits his innings and you can still try to win the WORLD FKCN SERIES instead of laying down.

Don't forget Cards fans...aka WLBs Whiney Little Bitches. The whole steroid era embarrassment to the game came under Tony LaJuicea's watch with Oakland. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see 260 lb guys w/3 % bodyfat like McGwire and Canseco and see that something isn't normal. St. Louis was so apologetic they brought back McRoid to be the hitting coach. Their fans suck...bunch of hypocritical aholes.

i wouldnt be surprised if Strasburg ends up pitchings tomorrow.

time for the nationals to pull their head out their ass and realize they may never get back to the playoffs for another 20 years

do they think the Phillies are going to sit around in the off season and not sign a bunch of big time free agents????

the marlins just spent all the money on that stadium... they want to win too.

and the Braves well yeah forget about the Braves ... when the leaves turn gold the braves fold.

Actually a Red fan made this thread making excuses before the NLCS matchup was even decided.

Cardinals fans aren't whining. Why would we? We lose our best player in the off-season (Pujols) and then we lose an ace pitcher for the season the second year in a row (Wainwright then Carpenter) yet we keep winning.

While other fans whine and make excuses, the Cardinals keep winning despite adversity.

You're acting like the Cardinals had no injuries when they lost two starters and their best pitcher for the majority of the year. Lol. Poor Red fan. Great teams overcome these types of things.

A lot of baseball still left. A Cards/Reds matchup is a long ways off.

Looks like SF is about to force Game 5.

All over the Internet people were talking about Cards/Reds even though neither team had won their series.

Stras was so fukkn pissed at management for them sitting him out for the rest of the season. He wants to go... Trust me.

Carpenter is pretty much at the twilight of his career so his team is going to get whatever they can out of him. Stras is the key to the Nats future.

I still think he should be pitching in October though.

cards randomly get shut down by pretty much anyone at any given time,,,look at their season it is loaded with a bunch of games they dont break 3 then a few like the last couple where they score a ton, dont ask me why but they pretty much front runners and when things going good they pile on, when they struggle they struggle badly and rarely win these tight gms...far as lefty not sure cause season long their numbers better vs lefties...
