Because they need Texiera to get his hitting going in the next 2 games. The higher up he is, the more AB'S. I see this all the time, takes guys a couple weeks coming off injuries. This is why Longoria is struggling for TB. Cano was 0 for 10 against lester with 4 strikeouts. Some guys just dont see certain pitchers. Joe Girardi had no choice, he needs Texieria to get going as fast as he can. Personally i would hit Cano befor tex. 1 position in batting order isnt huge to me 3 or 4. dosnt matter.

This team is the worst with RISP. very overated. they hit well last night cuz bucholz was throwin straight fastballs with no movement. Lester had good stuff.
