    Alex Rodriguez
There's been alot of talk lately about A-Rod not being a true Yankee and that he is not a clutch hitter. He does get alot of garbage hits/home runs when the game is out of reach. Are Yankees fans and the media being fair to A-Rod?

Well when your paying that much to one player, you expect production. And Alex Rodriguez hasnt been doing that lately. He will come around, but New York fans expect it more often then not. And RIGHT NOW. He hasnt been constant, and has been making a few errors at 3rd Base. So I think they have their beef.

He's having an awesome night, but that last homer was far from clutch since the game is basicly over.

Clutch or not, 2 HRs and 7 RBI will please the fans......for the time being. Maybe give them the hope he is coming out of his slump.

Did they slip in a new type of baseball he can blame his slump on.

I think he's batting over .350 with RISP, but I still think he shrinks when the stage gets big.

He was the leading vote-getter among AL third basemen so he is getting some love somewhere.

I think A-rod is still the most complete player in the game. One that can beat you with HR's, singles and even steals.
Only other player I can think of right now is Beltran.
I agree that his D is average at best but I sure wouldnt mind having the guy on mi team...

lets see what he does after the all-star break. my guess is he will become alot more clutch than he has been so far this year.

The dude is the total package..Forget the $$$..There are guys like Allan Houston getting 20 million from the Knicks without even suiting up..At the end of the year, theguys stats will not only be impressive but he will carry this team into the post season..

There's no doubt about that, but he needs to start hitting more in the cluych like David Ortiz.

New York's on the verge of slipping into fourth in the AL Wildcard race. Yankee fans have to find someone to boo. A-Rod's wallet and defense this season make him a prime target for that.

                                9/9/12:

Rodriguez extended his hitting streak to 13 games
, his longest run since an 18-gamer in April 2007.
