Nitrogen Sports considering allowing players to store USD balances

    By: SBR | Wednesday, January 7, 2015

Sportsbook Review spoke with a member of Nitrogen Sports (SBR rating B) management regarding player concerns over the volatility in the bitcoin market.
SBR reported yesterday that BTC hit a low of $280 following the $5 million hacking of popular bitcoin exchange Bitstamp.
The betting site has made a name for itself as one of the best bitcoin exclusive sportsbooks on the market, and has said they have much faith in the future of cryptocurrency.
Nitrogen stated the following in response to an SBR question on whether or not they would implement the option for players to hold balances in USD, as competitor Anonibet announced yesterday:
"One of the best ways to grow the adoption rate for bitcoin is to remove barriers to entry, and concerns about volatility is obviously a large one. For this reason, we are definitely considering offering the option for players to keep their balances in USD. We have big plans for Nitrogen Sports this year, and this is just one feature for our community to look forward to!"
Nitrogen Sports players with feedback are encouraged to write to mail@sportsbookreview.com.

Anonibet already doing this. Getting Nitrogen to do it too would be great. They may be the top two books. All should follow.

Nitrogen betting exchange was a graveyard . They had to take it down. Makes you wonder how many people play there ?

It's not a boiler room operation. They are located in CR with a marketing department in Canada. They have a spotless record and have been in business over 2 years. There shouldn't be any worries playing at Nitrogen.

It seems to be tough to get any exchange going without seeding.

                JJ,

Don't agree at all. Made over a million dollars worth of wagers at matchbook and betmaker in a relatively short period of time. Exchanges do so much more than the naked eye can see. Bookmakers in Costa Rica and elsewhere are missing the boat if they think there is no money to be made in exchanges.

And Live-in betting like Anonibet would bet great. Nitrogen is great with deposit and withdrawal, almost instant. Withdrawals at Anonibet are processed manually(may take 1-2 hours to be processed), and only between 08:00 – 22:00 GMT. And, I think Anonibet should improve the deposit/withdrawal process, too many email confirmations. Also, Anonibet's bets history section is not user friendly for navigation. Just some complaining about Anonibet.

I agree. Also, 5Dimes has the same live-in betting platform(even better with more betting options) under the "Live Betting Plus", and they grade bets faster. But, I know that you prefer bitcoin books to 5dimes which is still traditional book.

I like the anonymity of bitcoin books.

Wonder if 5dimes would ever buyout nitrogen or anonibet, 5dimes deposit with bitcoin is annoying. Books buying out other books used to happen in the old days.
I think 5d bought sportbet , but can't think of any recent one
