yes this book is fourth-year university reading, the thought of Dwightie reading it is incomprehensible. We are speaking/writing about a man who doesn't know what USA prohibition was about, a man who could not define the study of economics, a man who has a vocabulary less than triple digits.

I read this book about 20 years ago and I haven't read many better since then. One of the things I remember about it is that modern man can contemplate things similar to though he is talking to another entity. It happens when we think about making decisions.

However, early man's mind didn't have the awareness of such because his mind hadn't developed bicamerality (two distinct divisions) and therefore when he had to make decisions the other "voice" was thought to be of the gods or some other guiding force.

This is why religion was so important to early man and was also so pervasive among separated human populations.

It's a text book. I'm not exactly breezing through it. I'm about 10% in. The concepts are interesting but so far it's just a review of previous theories of consciousness.

I read a really good book the other day though called Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. Read that in a day.
