Median income up 5.2% in 2015
I wonder why some people in here have not mentioned this great news today....

According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau report, median household income surged to $56,516 in 2015, a 5.2% increase from 2014, on a real (inflation adjusted) basis. That’s the largest percentage increase since the Census started tracking that number in 1967.

The households in America posted the biggest increase in their annual incomes for the first time last year since 2007. According to the latest Census Bureau report, median household incomes in 2015 surged 5.2% to $56,516 as compared to the previous year.

Hey d2bets, I can tell you why some people in here haven't mentioned what you think is great news. It's the housing market (you know roof over your head) that matters and Food stamps ( you know eating, otherwise know as welfare) that matter. In both cases Obama is a nightmare. Clearly one of the worst presidents in our history!!! Food Stamps — Despite the improving economy, the number of Americans receiving benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as “food stamps,” has hardly declined at all since our last report. As of September 2014, the most recent month for which the government has released figures, the total stood at just below 46.5 million people, or about 1 out of 9 Americans. The number is only 2.8 percent below the peak reached in December 2012, and still more than 45 percent higher than the month before the president was first sworn in.Obama’s legacy is almost certain to include a stubbornly large increase in the food stamp rolls. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projects a very slow decline in the rolls. As of its most recent “baseline” projections of the program, CBO estimated that when Obama leaves office in 2017, the number of food stamp beneficiaries will still be at 42.7 million — one third more than when he entered.
Home Ownership — In spite of historically low mortgage rates and an improving economy, the rate of home ownership has slid to its lowest point in nearly 20 years.
As of the third quarter of 2014, the percentage of U.S. householders who owned their own homes was 64.3 percent, according to the most recent figures from the U.S. Census Bureau. That is lower than at any time since the fourth quarter of 1994.
Home ownership peaked at 69.4 percent in early 2004, but it has declined 5.1 percentage points since then. Most of the decline — 3.2 percentage points — has taken place since Obama first took office.

When the deplorables thought income was down, then it was super important, and now it isn't.

As for food stamps, good. People that needed it weren't getting it before, now they are. Listen, the jobs are out there and the fact that wages have skyrocketed says that there are more jobs than qualified employees. The people not working are doing so either voluntarily, due to disabilities, because they don't have skills or because they are lazy. Education for 21st century economy needs to be fixed. Trying to cling to jobs of the past is a fool's game.

As for home ownership, that's tied directly to the strict regulations put into place after the housing crash. That has pros and cons. It needs some fixing. But this is not an indication right now of a bad economy. Plus, home ownership isn't everything. Nothing wrong with renting.

Leaving office with 1/3 more people on welfare is not a successful presidency no matter what kind of spin you put on it!!!

and it has taken 8 years to get back even which is an absolutely terrible recovery but completely planned by Obama. It is the same reason the push the climate change scam so they can erase the middle class and they have done great work so far.

d2bets, there is no doubt that the 58% is brain dead. d2 lets just agree that obama is the worst president we have ever had. Well, how about a tie between Mr. Carter and obama. When more people are on welfare then when you came in, you did a terrible job. No other way to put it. Wouldn't you agree with that? Obviously they didn't poll anyone on the welfare rolls. Polls are such a joke. They can be so easily manipulated it's not even funny. Gee, I want this poll to favor democrats, so lets poll a traditionally democratic area. Look at hard numbers 47 million on welfare, can't manipulate that. See what I mean d2.
