According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau report, median household income surged to $56,516 in 2015, a 5.2% increase from 2014, on a real (inflation adjusted) basis. That’s the largest percentage increase since the Census started tracking that number in 1967.

More people rent today, many by choice, many have been priced out of the market by increasing home prices. Look at home ownership rates in Europe and compare to the US, we are far ahead of them.
