Anyone ever notice in horse racing
When the favorite breaks well and and takes an early lead , his odds always ticks down. Yet if he does not break well the odds stay the same.

I swear I see it everyday over and over.

Yah well if he doen't break well his odds may not be listed since only top 4 are listed and a small last minute bet can change a 3/5 to a 2/5 as it is only one fifith whereas a 5-1 probably won't go up or down a whole point

Going by the odds after they are all in the gate. Favorite may be 8/5 and if he busts out of the gate early on the lead it will always tick down to like even money. If he breaks poorly the closing odds wlll still be 8/5.

I've noticed it both ways, seen slow breaks where they were 2-1 going into the gate and go off 9-5 or 5-2 and bet down to 2-1 last second. Like topgame85 said you just notice it more when they are in the top 4 to break because the odds get displayed. Otherwise you just get involved with the race and dont notice it immediately.

Tons of money comes in very last second. When theres a big pick6 carryover they will say pool is at 1.5 mil when they are loading and it will end up 2.1 mil when they break. Been shut out like an idiot many times cause I got to the window and a bunch of jackasses are reading the form with 1 MTP.
