There is nothing in this world a group of people would agree on. That is why voting is so important to a democracy. Let the majority decide. Not the louder voices. If we can elect our President this way, I'm sure it's good enough to decide poker setup.

Step 1a is getting someone who understands poker to run the show here. It's great you listened to the whiners and tried to make a positive change but it wasn't positive and you'll end up pissing off more players with a format change in the middle of a series!!! Anyone who understands poker, and more importantly poker players, would know that's a horrible idea.

Step 1b should be using our newly acquired poker guru from 1a to figure out a way to get the cash games going. What's the point of playing longer 50 man tourneys if we still can barely roll the points?

Ivy, it's only a handful of people making complaints and can't make up their mind. None more so than USCPhillygirl. This retard complains more than a high school girl and makes threads complaining about everything on here. It's painstakingly obvious this person is a nuisance and contributes nothing on here except to complain and make a moderators job harder.

I think the opposite is the solution. I would prefer to see the daily prize pool spread out over 6-8 tournaments throughout the day, 20 max entries (top 6 get paid), and quicker blinds. Let's get the daily tourney's to one hour or less. I am sure most people would prefer that. Up to 2 hours a day + rollover time for points is not realistic for most people.

Yeah that sounds good too. I think one thing that's clear by this thread is, Ivy can't keep everybody happy. Maybe we need a simple forum poll on this and to let the majority rule? How's that sound?

The antagonism back and fourth between players and administration is obviously not helping things. The problem is that executive decisions are being made on a whim. There should be some mechanism by which administrators can take suggestions and poll opinions about poker from the playerbase. As it stands right now if a potential issue crops up for sbrpoker multiple threads and posts come about because there is no feedback. Then one day by happenstance one thread is viewed by an administrator and acted upon even if that thread and the opinion therein is not representative of the majority of the playerbase.

And not to nitpick but there are even problems with this poll. It should be three separate issues IMO:
1. Voting on whether to cap the tournaments at 40 or 50 players
2. Voting on whether to add another tournament to accommodate the overflow of players who cannot register for whatever reason (time constraints or tourneys being full)
3. Voting on when to start tournament registrations.

My suggestion is to cap the tournaments at 40 players like it was in the beginning. Then to add either a 10 AM est or 9 PM EST Tournament to accommodate the overflow of players. When the current promotion is over the administrator should revise the tournament structure to their vision of where SBR poker should be going (i.e. in line with promotions, opinions - whatever)

Right now the ship is rudderless.

Also, i see that the poll was updated. A new thread should really be posted. People have already voted on old information and it may not be representative of what they want. The poll should in the poker subforum too...

Adding 9pm is winning and that was my vote so im glad. still doesnt make sense. dilutes the vote of people who want a 4th because of so many options.
