What is the downside? Only way this bet loses money is if Peyton goes down. If not, the afc is weak right now. All they need to do is essentially make the playoffs. Once in, the bet can easily be hedged without a problem.

Only downside is needing to be without $500 for a year.. but that is 1.5 units for me, so not a huge deal. It appears you can't afford to have $500 tied up for a year, so thats unfortunate for you..

Coach John Fox is not a great coach but anytime you have Peyton Manning you have a chance.

I agree getting Clady and Miller back is huge.

Talib ... not so much.

But if they get Darelle Revis and Steve Smith look out.

The bet is really to try to win 1k or 2k. Will be able to hedge immediately in the playoffs. As long as peyton doesnt go down, I'm not sure how this team doesnt get in?

I agree.. Talib isn't worth the money he's being paid, but is def an upgrade. Also, can't overlook the fact that they took him from probably the #2 team in the AFC.. we saw what the pats secondary looked like without him. Other then those two teams, afc is extremely weak

I like your odds at 9-1. Their signings this week obviously improved an already great team.
They will be 5 or 6-1 by the time the season starts.

$500 is a lot for dark hat and his ghost.. i personally don't see a problem risking 1.5 units on a 9 to 1 bet that can easily be hedged.. Peyton just needs to stay on his feet
