The Avs are one of the few teams that did significantly better away than home last season. They lost to the Capitals 3-0 a couple days ago, but it was a B2B game coming off wins against Dallas and Pittsburgh (!!) so I think they are going to bounce back against the Tampa Bay Lightning, an opponent that they've beat 6 out of their last 10 matches. TBL is 3-0-0 and I feel like they're due for an L here soon. But who knows, Tampa is a sweet team. Nice thing about betting on the dog though, is that I only have to win this bet 39% of the time to be profitable.
Keep an eye on the Sharks. They've been opening at sweet odds compared to what they're closing at. On Monday, they opened at +104 and closed around -135 against the NYR who closed at around +115. Kicking myself for not jumping on the +104, because then I would have also taken NYR as a dog for the same amount of units and got free $$$. I suspected they would lose, though, which turned out to be true. The next day against NYI they opened as a +109 dog and closed as a -107 favorite (NYI were never + though). Odds shot down before they played the CBJ as well (-114 to -160) and a bit for their opener against LAK (-130 to -165). Long story short, if you see SJS open as a slight dog, jump on it!
