Yankees mathematically eliminated from 2016 Playoffs
Yankees are LAST PLACE, AL East
12th out of 15 teams in the AL
25th out of 30 teams in entire MLB

Yankee record after today is 8-13 (truly disgraceful for $227M)
Yanks likely would NEED 90 wins to make playoffs. (need 83 to reach 90)

    141 GAMES remaining after today,

Yankees would have to WIN .581 of remaining games to reach 90 wins.
.581 Winning percentage is what Division winners play, not last place teams.
NO WAY they can play like Division winners over 5 months period.

Keep in mind that this team is OLD, and that they start strong and finish weak.
So this 7-10 is not likely to reverse itself in the 2nd Half of the Season.

the ONLY possibility that Yankee fans can hope for, is for several starters to get injured..
that would be the only way for them to win

that's it.. if they lose today it's over.

Yanks down 9-3 in TB... Top 8th inning.. they need to score 6 Runs to tie, 7 to win..

if they don't win today it's over. NO pLayoffs again.

          All that money. Gone
