Cardinals +110. Adam wainright has won the last 2 years as opening day pitcher allowing 0 runs. The pirates and cardinals both slightly weaker this year. But cardinals have a healthy matt holiday and adam wainright. Pirates lost alvarez who statistically did very well against cardinals. Today is very cold in Pittsburgh. It has shown through data analysis that cold weather usually favors the pitcher. They tend to throw more strikeouts. The wind at the stadium is blowing out today which should help make up for the cold weather. I think both pitchers have an ok day but wainwright the victor. Cardinals 4 to 3

I love Waino. Probably my favorite pitcher in baseball to watch besides Kershaw. Love to see Molina back in the lineup with some new faces. I may not post a lot the first few weeks just to see how teams start out but I have to make a bet for opening day.

I'll take the better pitcher, while avoiding the royals bullpen and late inning rally potential. I was hoping the royals were having their ring ceremonies but it doesn't seem to be the case tonight. Hopefully, Mr Harvey was was able to void adequately today.
