Thanks. Good luck to you also. I have Texas as my 2nd strongest dog and Arizona as my weakest dog tonight.

It's great to see this thread. But I haven't bet a baseball fave in three years. That's about when I started to be up units, consistently. Go figure. Hope you finish out the year with this.

I saw a thread posted today stating not to be afraid to lay tremendous juice in MLB wagering and I couldn't disagree more. Wagering dog's in bases is the way to go if you know what to look for. If you just throw darts you will be in the 96 percentile who lose money every year in sports wagering.

Totally agreed. Our goal is to always hit 50% with dogs. Last year we were 186-186 exactly. It's eerie how this is after handicapping. Hate losing 50% of the time, but it goes with the territory.

That's sufficient wagering dog's. I'd take that and be perfectly happy. One of the only sports that allow the bettor to make money winning 50% of the time and that's what makes baseball wagering the best sport to wager IMO.

Today I have 5 selections which is a few more than I like to play on a daily basis but they all qualified based on my numbers so it is what it is. Another key factor in wagering dogs, IMO, is to flat wager each bet for the same amount, no more no less, for each wager. Good luck tonight Mitch.

Straight flat betting is the way we bet. Always. We also don't have any TEN UNIT POWER ... We can pretty much guarantee no juice, however.

I generate my own power ratings with my statistical figures from a database I formulated. My statistical figures are updated each morning because it takes time to add the stats for each team/game everyday. Once I have my power ratings for each day I simply compare the two and if the dog has a higher power rating than the favorite I make a play. The power rating advantage is the different between the two teams power ratings. Hope that answers our questions.

That's because today is my first day posting 6 plays so their is no record for my 6th rated selection yet. I posted the individual records so people can see how my top play, 2nd top play and so on perform. With that in mind I still flat bet all of my posted plays, all for the same amount. That's the correct way to play dogs, IMO.

We totally agree on Oakland, Yankees, and Phillies. These are bets for us. However, we also liked your other picks. Our capping of the dogs seems to be extremely close. The games we mentioned made it through our filters, though. The games you pick that also make it through our added filters we feel will be extremely bettable.

Days like yesterday don't even phase me anymore. You just get used to them betting the dogs. Just the way it is. You just get up, dust yourself off, and check out tomorrows games. Betting dogs isn't for the weak.
