CODE: SBRPolymarket Lands Yankee Stadium Signage in New Prediction Market Deal with the Yankees

Prediction markets platform Polymarket has struck a sponsorship agreement with the New York Yankees, becoming the baseball team’s official prediction market partner for the rest of the 2026 MLB season. The announcement follows Polymarket’s rival platform Novig signing a partnership with the crosstown New York Mets a week ago.
The agreement puts Polymarket branding on signage throughout Yankee Stadium, including LED displays that will run before and during home games. The company will also get a rotating spot on signage behind home plate during locally televised Yankees broadcasts on the YES Network and Prime Video.
Beyond stadium branding, the deal includes fan-facing activities such as an outfield catch experience for children, a version of Kids Run the Bases and the chance to deliver a lineup card before a game. Ari Borod, who leads sports business development at Polymarket, called the Yankees one of the most recognizable franchises in professional sports and said the stadium fits naturally with the platform's focus on live sports questions.
The agreement comes shortly after Polymarket became the exclusive prediction market partner of Major League Baseball. It also follows a similar arrangement the company reached earlier this year with the New York Rangers of the NHL.
The Yankees deal adds to a growing list of sports partnerships for Polymarket, which has also aligned itself with soccer's Bundesliga and Liga MX in recent months.
Kalshi suffers a setback in Utah
While Polymarket expands its sports marketing reach, another of the best prediction markets is facing a different kind of battle in the courts. A federal judge in Utah ruled this week that the state can force Kalshi to comply with its gambling laws, rejecting the company's stance that federal oversight of commodities markets shields it from state action.
US District Judge Robert Shelby granted Utah summary judgment, finding that the Commodity Exchange Act does not stop the state from applying its own gambling statutes to Kalshi's sports-related contracts.
Utah Attorney General Derek Brown said his office intends to enforce the state's gambling ban following the decision. Kalshi has said it disagrees with the ruling and plans to appeal to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. In the meantime, Utah residents can still access the platform.
The ruling adds to a mixed national picture for Kalshi's legal fights. The company recently won a federal appeals court decision blocking New Jersey's gambling restrictions, and a separate judge halted Minnesota's statewide ban on prediction markets.
Courts in Nevada, Maryland, Ohio, New York, and Wisconsin, however, have all sided against Kalshi in comparable disputes.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission continues to argue that federally registered platforms should be allowed to operate nationwide regardless of state gambling laws, and it has filed suits of its own to defend that position on behalf of Kalshi and other operators, including Polymarket.
