The NHL Trade Deadline was Monday, March 21 at 3 pm EST.

Here’s how all the trades went down and a look at how the odds moved after the deals were made official.

March 21

TeamsPlayer (s)Assets Exchanged
Hurricanes Receive Max Domi
Blue Jackets Receive Aiden Hreschuk

The Carolina Hurricanes acquired forward Max Domi Monday from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Aiden Hreschuk – the 94th overall selection in last year’s draft.

The 12th overall selection in the 2013 draft, Domi has 32-points in 53 games played this season.

He hasn’t been as productive offensively in recent years but can play either center or wing, providing further depth and flexibility throughout the Canes’ lineup.

The Hurricanes sit as (+1000) favorites to win the Stanley Cup at DraftKings Sportsbook. Domi won’t move the needle, but he is a solid addition to the lineup.

Rangers Receive Andrew Copp2023 6th-Round Pick
Jets ReceiveMorgan BarronConditional 2nd-Round Pick (x) 2
2023 5th-Round Pick

The New York Rangers acquired Andrew Copp Monday from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Morgan Barron and a bevy of draft picks.

Copp is a fantastic addition to the Rangers’ middle-six. He can play wing or center and positively influence possession and scoring chances. He has 35-points in 56 games played to date.

The Rangers are 7-3 in their past ten games and primed for a deep playoff run – they’re currently (+1800) to win the Stanley Cup at BetMGM.

Penguins ReceiveRickard Rakell
Ducks Receive 2022 2nd-Round Pick
Zach Aston-Reese
Dominik Simon
Calle Clang

The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired forward Rickard Rakell Monday from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a 2022 2nd-Round Pick and three players.

Rakell is an offensive catalyst with 16 goals in 51 games played this season – though he’s teeming with further upside than his numbers suggest.

Pittsburgh is currently tied for 2nd in the Metropolitan Division as they look to make one last playoff run with the nucleus of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang.

The Penguins are currently (+1600) to win the Stanley Cup on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Wild Receive Marc-Andre Fleury
Blackhawks ReceiveConditional 2nd-Round Pick

The Minnesota Wild acquired goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury from the Chicago Blackhawks Monday for a conditional 2nd-Round Pick that can become a 1st if Minnesota reaches the Western Conference finals and Fleury wins 4-plus games in the first two rounds of playoffs.

It’s a critical move for the Wild, a true contender in the Western Conference, but who’ve received subpar goaltending all season from Cam Talbot and Kaapo Kahkonen.

Fleury, a three-time Stanley Cup Champion, owns 2.95 goals-against-average this season with a -1.2 goals saved above average, a solid stat line considering the poor defensive play in front of him when on the Blackhawks.

The wild are currently (+2200) to win the Stanley Cup at DraftKings Sportsbook. We’ll keep you updated on any shift in these odds as the day goes on.

This season, Giroux has recorded 18 goals and 42 points in 57 games for Philly this season. DraftKings moved their Stanley Cup odds from +600 to +550 following the deal.

The little known Brandon Hagel to some, was a huge addition for the Lightning, acquiring the forward from Chicago for two 1st-round picks. Hagel can score, on pace for 31 goals this season. He's 23-years old and comes with a small cap hit of $1.5M this season and the next two. A bargain deal for Tampa only solidifies their top 5 contender status for the Cup in 2022. The Lightning are currently +800 at DraftKings and +900 at FanDuel to win it all.
