UK-based bet365 continued its American expansion push Tuesday with an announcement that its platform has become the latest Indiana sports betting app.

bet365 is now taking wagers in eight U.S states: Indiana sports betting, Iowa sports betting, Colorado sports betting, Virginia sports betting, New Jersey sports betting, Ohio sports betting, Kentucky sports betting, and Louisiana sports betting. It is also active in Canada's only legal sports betting jurisdiction, Ontario.

The Indiana announcement comes at a time of rapid expansion for the European sports wagering giant. The company launched in Louisiana in November and is poised to expand to Arizona and North Carolina in the next few months.

What bet365 adds to Indiana

bet365 brings experience and global success to what has been a consistently productive Indiana sports betting market since launch in October 2019.

Indiana has remained a top-10 legal sports wagering jurisdiction in America, despite the launch and success of other more populated legalized states. That’s because everyone is taking advantage of the top Indiana sportsbook promos.

bet365 has made inroads into the legal sports betting scene in the Midwest, though not quite reaching the levels of the best sports betting apps, but certainly holding its own in some competitive markets in the region.

bet365 is currently the third most successful Ohio sports betting app, where people are using the top Ohio sportsbook promos and our bet365 bonus code.

More on the Indiana market

The Indiana legal sports betting market has been strong since its launch in 2019 and boasts all of the top providers in the business. bet365 will be up against the likes of DraftKings, which was the top Indiana sports betting app in December, along with FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and ESPN BET for market share.

There seems to be plenty to go around in Indiana, however. December marked the state’s second straight $500 million handle month and fourth since launch. In 2023, the Hoosier State saw $4.34 billion in overall wagering activity and a whopping $404.1 million in revenues.

The Indiana market, despite competition from all nearby states, grew year-over-year in 2023 with many people taking advantage of the best sportsbook promos.

bet365 will be hoping to replicate its success in neighboring Ohio and will likely battling for third place among state sports betting providers with BetMGM, Caesars, and ESPN BET. Each of those books finished far behind the top dogs in December, but came in with less than $1 million separating their monthly handles.

Where to next?

The Indiana launch appears to be part of a broad and quick expansion plan for bet365.

Arizona sports betting figures to be the next bet365 destination, thanks to a partnership deal with the Ak-Chin Indian Community. bet365 must become an Arizona sports betting app sometime in February. That's because of a licensing stipulation that a prospective sportsbook must go live within 180 days of the awarding of a license. bet365's award came in August 2023, making February the latest they can launch under Arizona law.

bet365 is also preparing to become one of seven North Carolina sports betting apps, when the platform launches in the Tar Heel State on March 11. bet365 has already signed on with the state’s iconic NBA franchise to become “Official Mobile Sports Betting Partner of the Charlotte Hornets.”

bet365 has also applied for market access into the bustling Pennsylvania sports betting market. The company applied for a Pennsylvania sports betting apps license in February 2023, but still hasn't heard from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
