While looking too far ahead in the NFL can prove foolish in a hurry, the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns are set for an easy start to the 2022 season with favorable matchups.

Philadelphia Eagles

A 5-0 start is a real possibility for the Eagles.

Philadelphia travels to face the Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals, and hosts the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars through the first five games of the season.

The Vikings are definitely an admirable opponent, but DraftKings already has the Eagles as a 2.5-point favorite. Interestingly, Philadelphia is also currently listed as a pick’em on the road against the Commanders, and unsurprisingly the Eagles are a 2-point underdog at Arizona in Week 5.

Philadelphia is a 4-point favorite on the road in Detroit, and receiving 6.5-point chalk at home against the Jaguars.

Just imagine Philly hosting the rival Dallas Cowboys in Week 6 with a perfect record.

Cleveland Browns

There’s more unknown than known about the outlook of the Browns right now. But they’re eyeing one of the easier stretches of opponents in the league to start the season.

DraftKings doesn’t currently have any lines available for their games yet with quarterback Deshaun Watson’s status up in the air, and previous starting quarterback Baker Mayfield away from the team nursing a January shoulder surgery and also likely to be traded.

As it stands, journeyman signal caller Jacoby Brissett might just be the man behind center for the Browns in Week 1.

Still, the first four games for the Browns are winnable. Cleveland visits the Carolina Panthers before hosting the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers. The soft opening schedule continues with a Week 4 road game against the Atlanta Falcons.
