Tipico used to offer new players a $750 risk-free bet, which was pretty close to what most industry leaders in the U.S. were offering. Promotions are trending down in the industry, and Tipico has followed suit by dropping their welcome bonus to a $250 deposit match. While the monetary value is much lower, this is actually a preferred promo for most players as it gives you free money to play with, win or lose, whereas the risk-free bet only awards you for losing and gives you nothing for winning.
Most Important Terms to Know
- This promo is tied to your first deposit, not wager. So, to maximize this, make the first deposit of $250 to get an even match.
- There's a 2x rollover within 30 days at odds of -200 or worse on your deposit and bonus amount before you can make a withdrawal. That means if you deposit $250 and get $250 in bonus funds ($500 total), you need to play through $1,000 ($500 x 2) on wagers at odds of -200 or worse within 30 days before any winnings can be withdrawn.
Ongoing Promos, Parlays, and Odds Boosts
Tipico is constantly churning out low-value ongoing promotions. Here are some examples of those:
• $10 for all: 100% deposit match up to $10 in bonus funds w/ 1x rollover.
• $150 Treat: make a qualifying deposit of $50 or more, and Tipico will match 10% of your qualifying deposit in bonus funds, up to a maximum bonus award of $150 with a 2x rollover requirement. So you have to deposit $1,500 and place wagers totaling $3,000 on games or events with odds longer than -200 within 90 days just to get $150 back. They did a similar match of $75 for the beginning of the 75th NBA season.
Tipico also offers parlay insurance for some leagues. During the MLB season, the terms state, “If there is a full-game no-hitter in any MLB game in your qualified parlay, and your parlay loses, you’ll be eligible to receive a cash refund for the entire wager amount up to $750.” So, you need a no-hitter for that to hit, which is pretty uncommon.
Overall, Tipico Sportsbook offers new customers some of the industry's most misleading sign-up bonuses and ongoing promos. Most revolve around promoting 100% bonuses but feature just a 10%-20% deposit match up to the advertised amount and have play-through requirements between 1x for to 3x your deposit amount.
Also, you cannot withdraw while playing through your bonus bets, or it counts as opting out of the promo. So, be careful with that one. However, they seem to be adjusting to more standard U.S. promotional terms, with simplified conditions, so it is nice to see them making the product more user-friendly based on player complaints.

Tipico Sportsbook arrived in the United States after more than 15 years of building a sterling reputation overseas as one of the most well-respected sports betting sites in Europe.
The transition for Tipico into the competitive U.S. market has been a bit of a roller-coaster so far. Initially panned for below-average odds and a propensity for limiting winning players, Tipico has addressed the first issue – but not the second. And while features like "Request a Custom Bet" are nice carrots for adventurous new players or experienced bettors looking for a new challenge, there isn't much else that stands out about this run-of-the-mill sportsbook.

Tipico Locations
You can currently find Tipico in Colorado and New Jersey – but it's set to expand thanks to a multi-state access deal it secured with Caesars.
So far, Tipico has announced intentions of launching in Iowa thanks to a partnership with Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf’s and in Indiana with Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino.
Separate from the deal with Caesars, Tipico also announced a long-term partnership agreement in Ohio with Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew. This partnership grants access for Tipico to launch its mobile sports betting app in Ohio when online sports betting kicks off Jan. 1, 2023.

You won't find the most comprehensive menu of domestic and international sports on Tipico's U.S.-based sports betting site, but there's still plenty here for the die-hard traditionalists and global betting fanatics alike. Here's a look at Tipico's coverage of the major U.S. sports:
NFL Betting
NFL betting markets are critical for every U.S. sports betting site – as is the balance between offering competitive odds and building the bottom line. Tipico offers standard 20 cent vig on most spreads and totals, with 30 cent lines dominating player props. These odds are by no means industry-leading, but they're better than some notable sportsbooks.
NBA Betting
Interest in NBA wagering has hit a fever pitch in the years preceding the Supreme Court's repeal of PASPA – and Tipico does well to feed the proverbial beast. Tipico offers a comprehensive menu of team and player prop odds during the regular season to augment its spread, moneyline and total markets. The odds here are also strong, though not industry-best.
College Football
This is a good place to mention one small but helpful feature Tipico offers NCAA football bettors and others. Once a player selects a game, he or she has access to a wide array of matchup features in the column to the right of the odds – a collection of data that includes team and player statistics, starting lineups, team leaders and division/conference standings. Nice.
College Basketball
The appetite for NCAA basketball markets has grown right along with the increased popularity in NBA wagering, though Tipico and others haven't increased their college hoops betting options at the same pace. That said, you'll still find a nice selection of primary and secondary markets here, with many more options at your disposal come March Madness time.
NHL Betting
With NHL betting not as popular in the United States as NBA or NFL wagering, it's no surprise to see Tipico's lines for the NHL are a little less generous. Bettors will routinely see a minimum of 25 cents of juice on most pre-game totals and pucklines, with higher vig on live outcomes. Hockey is not a priority for Tipico, but puck fanatics should be somewhat satisfied.
MLB Betting
The summer brings picnics, barbecues – and plenty of MLB wagering opportunities. Tipico loads up with all the pitcher and hitter props a bettor could possibly want (though it would be great to see more two-way markets here). First Inning and First Five Innings props are routinely available pre-game, and you'll get a fair share of 20-cent juice offerings prior to first pitch, as well.
Other Sports Leagues
Tipico keeps its master list tight, offering just over a dozen different sports but providing access to a wealth of leagues and betting opportunities within that list. Sports aside from the major leagues covered above include international baseball, basketball and hockey; boxing; darts; Formula 1; golf; handball; MMA; soccer; stock car racing; and tennis.
This offering might not be as expansive as sports betting sites like FanDuel or DraftKings, but that likely won't rankle the majority of U.S. bettors who favor the top six sports in this section. And by loading up on soccer, golf and tennis markets, Tipico does a great job of serving the majority of secondary sport bettors in the United States.

Keep it simple. That's all that most sports bettors ask when it comes to sportsbook interfaces – and Tipico delivers here with an easy-to-navigate setup that might be low on frills, but is off the charts when it comes to functionality.
Website Experience
Tipico deserves high marks for its economy of desktop space. Sports menus are found on the left-hand side of the screen, with the main odds scroll in the center. Once you select a matchup, that screen shrinks to make room for the odds market for that game. The Betslip lives on the right-hand side and expands as you make your selections.
It's amazing how simple it is to create a good experience for sports bettors – and this is proof. Tipico does a great job of fitting as much value as possible into its desktop iteration, without making the screen feel cluttered.
Mobile Betting and Betting App
Tipico offers a unique sports betting experience because the online sportsbook site and app operate on proprietary technology.
It is not the slickest or most aesthetically pleasing online sportsbook, and it can feel cluttered at times, but it is very efficient and user-friendly. Sports bettors should quickly grow accustomed to their quirks. We were able to place bets quickly and efficiently when using the site.
Most golf tournaments, MMA, and boxing bouts are covered comprehensively. You can also bet on Aussie Rules, badminton, chess, cricket, darts, futsal, handball, motorsports, rugby league, rugby union, table tennis, volleyball, and water polo. Despite our concerns, Tipico's sports betting app (separate from the casino app) scores an impressive 4.7 out of 5 on the App Store based on nearly 2,000 reviews. Its Google Play score is slightly lower at 4.4, based on just over 400 reviews.
