My college football moneyline picks went 11-9 last week, but five of the 11 wins were outright wins by underdogs that ranged from +110 to +185. In addition, I nailed two other moneyline plays from smaller favorites of -115 and -225 odds that won by 32 and 24 points, respectively.

I’m back to capitalize off of those profits with outright picks from 20 more matchups on the Week 6 slate, including why No. 14 Missouri should avoid a letdown against Texas A&M after its big win over Florida.

🔥 Best college football moneyline picks: Week 6

Jacksonville State (-145 via BetMGM) vs. Kennesaw State

Bet size: 1 unit

This is a mammoth early season matchup of the top two teams from Conference USA last year. While Kennesaw State’s 10-win season last year coming off a 10-loss season in 2024 is inspiring, I don’t believe it is sustainable nor is it an automatic precursor to inevitable success this year.

Compared to last year’s nine-win Jacksonville State team that returned 57% of its production from last year (47th most in FBS), Kennesaw State had to rebuild more with less than half of the roster returning (83rd-ranked roster retention).

In three FBS seasons, Jacksonville State has won nine games each year while making the conference championship twice. Meanwhile, Kennesaw State has averaged just 13.3 points per game over its last three games while still working to replace nine offensive starters from a year ago.

📡 SBR Edge: Navigating the mid-week schedule

This is the first of three "Weekday CUSA" games that Jacksonville State is playing, and its 11-1 record in such games is the best in the league over the last three years.

No. 14 Missouri (-172 via FanDuel) vs. Texas A&M

Bet size: 1 unit

SEC teams are seemingly trying to battle the war of attrition of the gauntlet of the conference schedule each week, as we’ve already seen Ole Miss, Florida, and Mississippi State fall flat the week after huge wins. But I don’t have as many such concerns about Missouri laying an egg this week after a 45-17 stomping of Florida last week.

Missouri got a huge monkey off its back by snapping an eight-game losing streak in ranked vs. ranked matchups last week (its last win in a ranked vs. ranked matchup was in 2024). But the most impressive part of its 28-point win over the Gators was holding Jadan Baugh to 13 yards on 12 carries, as he entered as the third player in Florida history with 100-plus rushing yards in five straight games.

North Dakota State (-155 via bet365) vs. UNLV

Bet size: 1 unit

North Dakota State couldn’t have asked for a much better start than to its FBS tenure than winning five straight games, with three of its wins coming by at least three touchdowns.

Against a Wyoming defense that ranked 23rd nationally in limiting explosive plays, the Bison were methodical with four scoring drives of at least 66 yards, and still managed nearly five yards per carry. It was also a step in the right direction that North Dakota State entered last week with just four touchdowns in seven red zone tripes through its first three games, then went 5-for-5 in the red zone last week with three drives finishing with a touchdown.

But it’s the North Dakota State defense I’m most high on, after turning in its second shutout, and ranking third in total defense and tying for an FBS-best 9.8 points per game allowed.
