There is somebody in everyone's life that is "impossible to buy for." Wives, children, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends continue the age-old search for that special gift for loved ones. Christmas, birthdays and even graduation can be stressful times for those in charge of purchasing a long-remembered gift. But they don't have to be.

The legalization, mainstreaming and overwhelming popularity of the legal sports betting industry in North America has opened up a whole new avenue of gift-giving opportunities. For the man/woman that has everything, chances are that they haven't received many gifts related to sports betting.

Huge swaths of Americans in particular claim that they have partaken in a legal sports bet. In fact, a Morning Consult poll found that 12% of respondents placed at least one sports bet per week and 25% of people had placed at least one sports bet in 2021. With new markets opening in 2022, specifically New York, that number could creep even higher.

So, to alleviate some gift-buying stress, we have come up with a list of gifting options for that sports bettor on your list.

Gift Cards

The Gift Card craze has even reached the legal sports betting industry! Gift cards have taken the world by storm and while maybe not the most thoughtful gift, they are at least something that a giftee will use.

Most of the major sportsbooks operating in the North American market such as DraftKings SportsbookCaesars Sportsbook, and BetMGM have their own form of gift cards available for purchase. Some are even available on Amazon!

Swag

Sports betting themed apparel, trinkets, and overall merchandise is readily available to those looking for a gift for someone special in their lives. You don't have to search hard to find Caesars, FanDuel Sportsbook, or any other sportsbook swag.

Hoodies, t-shirts, coffee cups, and other themed merchandise are just a matter of a Google search and an Amazon delivery away. Individual sportsbooks even have their merchandise available on their sites. FanDuel, for example, has its own store as do all of their heavyweight competition.

Sites like Amazon and Etsy have gambling-themed sections on their vast merchandising networks. There is bound to be something for everyone on their sites such as a clever saying or something more on the cheeky side.

Books

Yup, those paper things still have a place in our society and are quality gift options for those that have everything. There is a book for everyone on your list!

Everything from the "How To..." to the "What About..." to "The Story Of..." relating to sports betting are available in print form and are a terrific addition to the library of any sports bettor.

There is plenty of advice about "the best" reading options on the internet and companies like Amazon even break down their most popular, most gifted, and top-rated selections for you.

Subscriptions

It is no coincidence that the rise of the legal sports betting industry has coincided with the rise of streaming and subscription services pertaining to sports. Simply put, avid sports bettors are also avid sports fans!

TV packages have become an increasingly viable and effective gift idea for the sports bettor on your list. From NFL Sunday Ticket, streaming services such as FuboTV, and the networks of every major sports league in America (the NFL Network, NBA Network, MLB Network, and so on), the sports bettor and fan loves nothing more than settling in and watching the game they have placed a bet on, no matter where that even is taking place in the world.

Subscriptions are relatively inexpensive and generally run out at the end of a season.

Subscriptions don't mean just TV packages. There are plenty of gambling and fantasy sites that require a season-long or monthly sign-up. Providing extra knowledge and information for the betting fan will always be appreciated.

Game Tickets

This one is for that extra-special person on your list.

Every sports bettor is a sports fan first. That means that tickets, in your own city or out of town, will be a huge win for the person receiving the gift.

Trips to Las Vegas to see the Raiders or Golden Knights are the ultimate gifts for some, but staying at home to watch the Eagles or Cowboys host a Thursday, Sunday, or Monday matchup is the perfect way to say "Thanks" or "I Love You."

Stress Relievers

Unfortunately, for the passionate sports fan and bettor, there is going to be some stress involved. For some, yelling at the TV is good enough to alleviate some of that pent-up emotion. For others, an inanimate object will be required. And no, we are not talking about an adult coloring book!

Stress balls, TV bricks, and even a punching bag are more the speed of a sports bettor. Remember, their stress-relieving practices are going to have to coordinate with their viewing of the very game that is stressing them out.
