I dont think they are blaming the coach, Hindmarsh said in the post match interview the team has to work hard to rectify the mess they are in, its now the players fault, They have lost the respect of their peers, fans etc....the coach is safe...they will fire next week, its a local derby which makes it more an even playing field...They did play a top 4 team tonight and on Monday night and in the first week....Broncos, Warriors and Cowboys are my top three this year...I can only see upside for Parra...they cant get any worse...I guess the need Hayne to win , but the missed a lot of tackles and the Cowboys were on fire...remember only two weeks ago people were saying they wont touch the Cowboys again...

The Sharks do represent value here even though the have lost both matches thus far this season. They are playing a Many team that has been impressive so far, but looking deeper into the Sea Eagles form you see that both the Tigers and Warriors are 1-2 so far. The Sharks losses both could of been wins if they had held onto the ball.
Carney had a shocker last week and moving to 5/8 and having an organizer such as Jeff Robson inside him will allow him more freedom to run at the line where he can cause a lot of damage. The Sharks line breaks and offloads so far are right up there with the best of the NRL , They just have been dropping too much ball when getting gin the clear. Gardner is explosive and he will chime in well off Carney , whilst De Gois has been playing in career best form. The Spine of De Gois, Robson , Carney and Gardener look pretty formidable

Gallen is back in the front row, with Wade Graham in at lock , this will ensure Toupou will have more chances to offload and Gallen can give the Manly front row a hard time.
Desperation here for the Sharks, The frustration of losing the first two games will hurt and in front of the home crowd they will be pumped for strong effort. The Odds are generous because Manly are in "good form" and they have beaten the Sharks 4 times in a row at Shark Park. Lets hope the Sharks take a bite out of the flying Sea Eagles. The weather may change and it could rain during the game which can only help the Sharks

I think Carney back at no. 6 is the right move, and you could tell with Gallen on the footy show on Thursday night how much this game means to the sharks. The off field news for manly this week may also have manly turning up with less than 100%, we will see.

A Good week, but really should of been a 7-0 week, The Broncos butchered the over and the Raiders lost their star player and also hard working Fensom to rob them of a certain win against the Roosters. Lots to look at after all the games have finished now and will have some early leans on Thursday after training wraps up and we have a better idea of who is playing, Hayne and FUi FUi may be back for the Eels and a win is much needed out there.

For those that were on the Sharks and had a heart flutter at the end, you can always trade out of a situation like that. I traded out of the Sharks with 15 mins to go at 1.04, so by giving back $4 on every hundred your winning you don't need to stress to the end as the Rabbitohs well know

Agreed about trading out of plays to avoid the heart attacks, I was on the Sharks at +5.5 so didn't apply to me, but you could have locked in a very nice profit with the Sharks stress free at 17-0 up. Problem as always in Australia is that our arcane online gambling legislation makes life tough with most of the books we commonly use - for many of us doing it over the phone just doesn't fit in with watching sport with the fam' - my sports betting is tolerated not condoned

Why is a very good question. The Government believe that if we would be allowed to place live bets via the computer it would create more problem gamblers !!!! The advertising that is broadcast on all live sporting events , the updated live betting prices , all these don't cause problems the say because you have to make a call. The only hope is for the major bookies and Betfair to lobby some politicians to fight for the cause.

There is a billion dollar TV deal about to be negotiated by the NRL and the and the Broadcasters can recoup money via advertising , who advertises a lot, the bookies . It may yake a few more years but it will happen. Untill then Betfair is on speed dial. I dont like calling up in front of my kids but the understand now and when talking in the "lingo" like lay and match odds it makes it a little easier.

I was told that the government considers live betting as purely chance and that’swhy it is banned. I know this doesn’t make sense as all gambling is chance, butthat was the explanation from betfair.

I read today sports betting is becoming more pop & set to boom but its still only a small % of total gambling, pokies are s/thing like 60% n GG's 20%, then lotteries ect. Why can u bet on casino sites by rapidly clicking a mouse but cant click once after the 1st whistle goes n not thru-out the whole 80 min game, i say bring on some changes asap...

The law is so draconian that we are left behind the rest of the world. Demand for "in play"sports betting will grow soon enough and the Government will have no choice. The large bookmaking firms need to lobby politicians so they can change the law . This will happen eventually until then we will have to use the phone. I have seen sports betting grow so much in the last 15 or so years that it is getting to the point that the sport gambling dollar is competing with the racing dollar, the pokie dollar and the entertainment dollar. Great to see

Storm did as expected and very easy cash, Favorites on fore yesterday and today and I am having a bet on the Dogs at half time, I picked up 3.75 on Betfair . I am confident they can come home, although its painful not been able to watch the game live. 12-0 is not a huge scoreline.

The Tigers take on the Raiders tonight in the fourth edition of MNF, MNF certainly can throw up some surprises as we saw last Monday with the Sharkies saluting at generous odds of around 3.10, Tonight though i cant see the same happy ending for the underdogs the Canberra Raiders.

The form of both teams has not been very good, The Raiders played well against the Storm and Titans and had a close game against the worthless Roosters and were unlucky to lose due to Injuries. The Tigers have lost to premiership heavy weights Manly and the Dragons in the last few weeks and the lack of forward firepower was exposed.

Gareth Ellis returns tonight and he can be the man to lead the pack so they can at least match the big Raiders forwards who will be missing their leader Shawn Fensom. The Raiders will struggle in bot attack and defence without their best two players, Fensom heads the tackle count with 114 for the season and Dugan the meters gained tally with 449, so without two statistical magicians and inspirational players the Raiders will turn to Terry Campese to lead them on cold windy night in Campbelltown.

Campese has been scratchy after a year and a half off the paddock and i believe he still needs a game or two to find form.

Hard start to the week with two losers in the Rabbits and Eels , A few good wins on some good teams with the Warriors , Dragons and Storm covering their lines easily and a loss on MNF with a lacklustre Tigers not up top the enthusiasm of the Raiders and Campese finding form they proved too strong and will be a good team to follow for the rest of the year .Broncos are impressing more and more, The Storm are winning easy but still to face a strong team. Dragons have shown there is life after Bennett whilst the Sea Eagles lack of quality depth out of their top 17 is hurting them. Dogs bite the dust for the first time and the Knights finally show they may be a serious team later on this year.
Titans and Eels are in trouble but i still believe the Roosters are the worst team in the NRL. Panthers are rebuilding but showing lots of confidence whilst the Rabbitohs are slowly getting there they just need to learn to win.

You must have been pretty impressed with your Raiders tonight, they put on a clinic. Nearly 1750 metres to 950, 12 line breaks to 2, 9 missed tackles to 40, it could have been 50-16. How about that Robinson fella' too, came out of nowhere.

When they get Dugan and Fensom back, and with Campese, Crocker, Fergusan, et al, they are looking a pretty hard team to beat on their day. With the Storm playing the way they have the Round 1 performance also looks very impressive.

Tigers are in a world of pain, I mean, they weren't shocking in offense and didn't make a lot of errors, the problem is their defense always had them coming out of their own 20. Their defense is now second worst in the comp to the Eels, and after this loss it also makes them second last on the table. Luckily for them they have a bye, the Titans, Eels and Panthers in between now and round 10, so they have a chance to right the ship. Pressure will be on.
