They sold shares @ 11.00 privately. If they FDA approves it could go $70+, news is expected any day/within the next couple months. Undervalued severely given the immediate potential as a Covid drug in my opinion.

Yea, got lucky there.

Always liked BABA over BIDU. BIDU is too close to trouble, censoring and a paranoid/suspicious gov looking over their shoulder. I have owned both though. Bidu has a lot of earnings power but so does Baba.

Very glad to see gold/silver rise from the dead over the past week.

yes i prefer BABA as well but have long felt BIDU was the second most popular name in China and gets pulled up by BABA and often does well on its own also

I picked up some BABA as well yesterday, but don't know where you guys are getting the 140 level. I'm looking at the chart and thought that the zone was right between 153 and 148.50. I got half a position when it cracked 153 yesterday and was waiting for another bite at the 150 level, but it never got there.

I got half a position when it cracked 153 yesterday and was waiting for another bite at the 150 level, but it never got there.

I thought it would break it's 52 week low at $151ish and see some follow through. It still might. But $150 from a fundamental standpoint is the entry point. That's about 12x's next years earnings. The 2 year has a low around $132ish. So let's see. Big move but it could resume some softness after this breakout.

On the contrary, China helped every step of the way with Alibaba. No different than the US pretending to be tough on Amazon occasionally.

Its like watching paint dry and I expect it to remain the same until the Fed comes out like that fat ass opera singer and belts out whatever he is going to say. Then all the shyt will break loose. So tomorrow will be more of the same up or down don't expect any movement unless they start killing American's in the world that time (and Biden) forgot. Unless there is a hostage or murderous situation don't expect nothing to happen until Friday when all of a sudden even before the Fed belts out the first note things will get volatile.

Looking around the Fang stock this evening and I can see on the weekly chart that Amazon AMZN is indeed making a bear flag pattern. Lets see how it closes the week, and if it can't break above 3400, I will step in and short with a small amount, or more than likely buy puts for Oct 21 expiration strike at 3300 which are right now around 80-85 bucks. The stop out is the break down candle high of 3700 and the closer it gets the heavier the position becomes. If perhaps it starts to break down I will add on the way down to 2900 which will be the line in the sand for the bulls. At that point it may be time to exit half the position and hold on for a look at what happens after.

I don’t know, I subscribe to a couple English language China news feeds, People’s daily, South China Morning Ppst, and this story is buried enough I can’t find it.
