    Just Called them again

Hello, my name is Selina Kyle. How may I help you today?
You: I have been on various gambling forums and there are hundreds of people waiting for their money, I was originally wanting a check but your processor dumped you because of the US Government. I then applied for a wire and I know they normally take 48 hours to get them processed but since no one has received any money for a month, are we getting the run around or are wires being sent. All I want is the truth so I can plan my finances. I know it is not your fault because you are just doing your job but there are several people who put in for bank wires over two weeks ago and none of them have their money. What stage is my wire at if any?
Selina Kyle: Please bear with me while I look up your account details.....
Selina Kyle: Before we can process your withdrawal it is necessary that we verify your banking details. Please provide us with a either a copy of a voided check for the bank account where you would like the funds sent or the header of a hard copy bank statement for that account. As soon as we have received and verified the information your withdrawal will be sent. We do appreciate your co-operation over this request and we hope that you can understand that it is ultimately for the security of your funds.

You: I just opened the account and have blank checks with the account number (temporary checks) I will not be getting new checks for weeks
Selina Kyle: Do you have a bank statement for that account?
You: I am calling my bank. The account is only 3 days old. I may be able to get a printout from the bank
Selina Kyle: Thank you very much
Selina Kyle: We just need to confirm these details so that we can process your withdrawal
You: I have to call my bank and see what they say
    Selina Kyle: OK, thank you
You: I am calling them, it should only take a minute or two
Selina Kyle: ok, take your time
You: I am ordering checks. They will be here by Fed Ex by Friday. Once I have that, is there anything else I need or do I just fax that to you
Selina Kyle: You can just fax it to us. Please make sure your customer ID number written on it
Selina Kyle: Would you like the fax number now?
You: give me fax number please
Selina Kyle: Please send the requested documents to 1800 201 4919 (++1-208-567-3627 if you are outside North America), or if it is more convenient, you may scan your documents and attach them to an email. Please ensure that your customer ID number is prominent on the fax or subject line of the email. Please check the quality of your scan or fax to ensure that all information is fully legible.
Once we have fully reviewed the documentation we will promptly email you with an update.
Selina Kyle: thank you very much for this. Once we receive the document, we will have your withdrawal processed as soon as possible
    You: thanks

Wasted more money by paying BofA $26.00 to Fed Ex overnight the checks so I can fax them a copy and watch more delays

    Tim,

First off they are asking for a copy of the bank statement in which you used to fund the account. For example I used my debit card, I had to send them a copy of my bank statement showing the charge that was made to them. I've never been asked to send a blank check or anything at all.

I bet they are doing this to avoid charge backs... That's why most do it so you can't charge back..and to verify I guess...

It's a new bank account so I won't have a statement. A voided check is supposed to be the next best thing, not that it matters when it comes to Sportsbook. Sounds like we could drive up to their door with 2000 forms of ID and they would find a way not to pay

I suggest anyone who has a wire pending with any of the sportsbook family of books to send their banking info. in before they even ask...

Just got done talking with them. They don't need any other verification from me for the bank wires. Apparently, my wires were sent on the 19th. Maybe it depends on your bank? I use Wachovia.

I would call your credit card company and say you DID NOT authorize the charges on your card. Last month sportsbook was using sport4u and this month they are using egames. You can go back 180 days and challenge. They will have no answer to your claim with the U.S ban and you will get your money back and you can then join another book. Fight fire with fire. They should have posted something on their website and didn't. You can also email their marketing guy at ALEX@SPORTSBOOK.COM. I got that name from their magazine they mail to me. These guys didn't do the right thing continuing to tell people stories about 7-10 days etc. Let's all do this and get them now. Peace.

Not a bad idea. And I noticed they actually did take 20 bucks out of my bank account before without me asking for it. However they did put it right back afterwards. The only problem is that I used up my balance since I never thought I was gonna see my money again. I hope you guys dont do that because that may be just what sportsbook is waiting for. I still say its a lost cause without a doubt about them.

    Dont Charge Back Yet!

    Just Not Yet!

I Am Assuming, Based On Teh Fact That The Witdhrawal Delay Is Only 1 Month Old Now, And Withdrawals Were Processed Right Before That< That You All Have A Litttle Time Before It Becomes Urgent.

Just Wait Out Until It Is Neccessary< And Then Do It> If You Do It Now< It Could Really Mess Things Up For Anyone Who Has Apending Withdrawal That Was Not Yet Supposedly Sent! Even Your Own Withdrawal.

I Am Not Saying That I Think They Will Be Sent< But Continue To Be Patient For Now.

I Think Emailing The Marketting Guy Is A Great Idea> We All Should< Firm But Non_offensive Emails. Anyother Contact Info Anyone Can Gte< Post It Up!

This is a great psychology experiment. You can see how fast and how quickly fear snowballs.

Everyone is going to get paid. Let them work through their problems and get everything straight. Two weeks from now, you all will think how dumb you were for undue panic. Please, this company will get it right.

This is exactly right. In 2 weeks when the cashouts are rolling out smoothly all these idiots will be back on here saying, " Yeah I knew they were gonna pay us blah, blah, blah."

Something productive that can be done to make sportsbook.com respond, is contact all of its affiliates.

All of the sites that advertise for sportsbook.com, which there are tons, many of which suggest sportsbook as a top option, rely on the success and honesty and performance of the sites they reccommend.

Now while we cant get in touch with any one except the random customer service reps with fake names, or the so called supervisor with fake names, the staff (presidents, marketting managers) at the affiliates, can get in touch with people who actually matter. They have business relationships, rather that a customer relationsip.

If everyone goes out of their way, I mean we all spend quite some time here anyways, to get in touch with the affiliates that represent, support, and advertise sportsbook.com, we will be able to make a greater difference through them.

All of these affiliate sites have contact infor,a nd often for people high up at their company. So please, get in touch with them, tell them what is going on, and that tehy are representing someone hwo is lying and not making good on any withdrawal request for over a month yet.

I too believe we still need to be patient, but still vigilent about what's going on. If we have resources available, contacts or what not, we should continue to press the issue. As for calling people "idiots" or "dumb" for the undue panic, I don't think thats warranted. Based on recent history, why should anyone trust sportsbook.com and believe that their money will be coming in a week or so? For the past 5 weeks now, the same story has been thrown out by sportsbook.com. I hope and really think sportsbook.com will figure this out in the short term; however, we have no guarantees, and to blindly accept their word would be what makes us "idiots" and "dumb". I see that you two (revet and fortunescore) are brand new to the site. You guys joined in the last couple of days, most likely because you too were worried about your money and wanted to know whats going on. We'll see how this all comes through in the end. Even when or even if sportsbook.com finally gets us our money, they are not due any apologies. The way this situation was handled is almost comical (ie. 7 day promises for the past 5 weeks, redepositing the money as v-chips in the hopes that players would continue to play, accepting deposits with no disclaimer)

    I get "Open Ticket"

regarding my withdrawal by wire so I go to the chat line and they tell me they need to verify my bank info which I found out when I talked to someone 6 hours earlier. Had a real moron on the other end as I cut and pasted the "Open ticket" message and he asked what I wanted and I said, "if you can read you would see what I want"

I guess they are doing this to make like they are trying to send us our money even though it is another stalling tactic

For what its worth, I think we will eventually get our money

    Sign of hope - Maybe?

Made a wire request on Monday night - this is the first sign of life - ? Could it be real?

We thought that you would like to know that your withdrawal from 19-Mar-07 has been processed and was sent to you as follows:

$1,000.17 was sent on 21-Mar-07 as an international wire transfer to wire Routing (ABA) Number (US Banks): # XXXXXXX Account Number: #XXXXXXXXXX(this is your type of bank account -swift code or routing number - account number).

This wire will appear in your account in 5 to 7 working days.

Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions about your withdrawal or any other issue related to your account.

Good luck and have a great day,

Wires do not take 7 days.

Anyone want to send me a dollar tomorrow morning? I'll give you your full name by afternoon.

If I paid by ccard and a book would not cash me out, I would charge back about 30 seconds after getting off the phone.

Sportsbooks are not supposed to cash out some of the time.

If it's like their old system with an intermediary, they'd send that email when they process it to the intermediary, then the intermediary would send the payment 2 days later, and you'd get it 2 days after that.. so 7 could be 5 for wire + 2.

Sean: A wire from my account to my friend (with a different UK bank) takes 3 days..

Then your friends bank is holding the money to make interest.

When I wire from Citi to/from Wachovia it is there in 10 minutes max. GOOD Banks.

When I wire from either to BkofAma it's 3 days.

BkofAma to Citi or Wach is 10 minutes if they dont screw it up.

It does not take minutes to do an international wire. Do to all different reasons, it can take up to 5 days easy for an international wire, especially if there are any delays or problems.

And as someone already said, some of those days are further processing, rather than actual wire sending time. You guys underestimate the process, and the steps involved, for one of these books to send out an international wire to thousands of customers.

I have less faith in who these guys are behind the computer. They just joined and have been saying everything is all right. Maybe they are shams from sportsbook that want more deposits from us. Maybe they arent. But Im not optimistic.
Here is a quote from another website I visit that has nothing to do with gambling "To read up on all the sites that are doing this go to sbrforums.com. I had 1,200 dollars in sportsbook.com and all of a sudden I couldnt get a withdraw. They have been doing this to everybody I talk to on the net since late february. Im surprised this hasnt made national news yet. Well we knew we were messing with fire gambling at unregulated online sites"

"That's funny because out of the blue last weekend before the March Madness games started, I get a call from Carlos a rep from Sportsbook.com asking me why I'm not putting more money into my account. Asking me would I like to register my credit card over the phone to deposit more into my account. Good thing I withdrew a few weeks ago, and now only have $6 in there."

All I am telling you is wiring from big banks takes less than a day.

If you wire from Citi, Wachovia, etc to RBC, Barclays, UBS, etc it takes less than a day.

If you wire to a small bank with intermediaries, 2-3 days.

7 days means it has not been sent.

Really? Interesting cause I transfer money all the time from Chase bank to BkofAma and it always takes two business days for me to see it in the available status at BkofAma.

However I have had my brother wire me money from his bank to my bank when I was in college and it was there within three hours...of course there was a pretty good fee. Though there was no processing time and shit like you see with the books. So who knows...

    TRUN....

Very rarely have I seen the book give you a tracking number for the wire. Even when they do finally get it from the bank the money has already been deposited. So they did say 7 - 10 business days....so really you could see it tomorrow day 8 business day, the Monday which would be day 9 business day, and then of course Tuesday would be 10 business days. After Wednesday morning if its not in your account then were all screwed.

Just curious....when did you make the request for the withdraw and when did you get the confirm? I called yesterday and talked to a so called manager and said the first bank wires started going Monday morning and that members would see it their bank anywhere from 7-10 business days (This was the 24-48 hours to process the members request, send it to the bank, and for the bank to wire the money to the members account). He said most will start seeing them the first of next week. I said I hope you are right for your sake cause there are a lot of pissed of people. For what it worths he said we know we have a lot of unhappy customers right now, but we did have problems and now the bank wires are going out and people should start seeing their money. I hope he is right.

Thought I would share with you guys....just got done a few minutes ago.

Chat InformationPlease wait for a site operator to respond. Your chat should be answered within 1 seconds. Thank you for your patience.
Chat InformationHello, my name is Chloe Healy. How may I help you today?
    You: Good morning Chlow
You: My name is XXXXX and I am from Sportsbook Review
    You: sorry for my misspelling...Chloe
Chloe Healy: Hi John, no problem
You: we have several members coming to out forum with complainants of sportsbook.com not paying their customers....could you please explain?
Chloe Healy: We have had some problems recently as regards our check processor
Chloe Healy: We have had to set up with a new one and this has taken more time than originally expected
Chloe Healy: we will be accepting check withdrawal requests again from march 26th
Chloe Healy: and we are currently sending withdrawals by wire
You: ah I am sure that can take some time to resolve...I understand.
Chloe Healy: We do have a new check processor now, they are currently working through a backlog of over 20000 withdrawals
Chloe Healy: once this is done, we will accept new check requests
Chloe Healy: in the meantime, customers can get wire withdrawals
You: so you now have a wire option that is available for your members to be paid? and the check method will be ready the 26?
Chloe Healy: Yes, that is correct
You: ok I have seen reports about the bank wires, but members are saying they are still not seeing them about 7 business days of waiting on their funds to hit their bank
Chloe Healy: Yes, unfortunately we cannot do anything about that time frame, this is the banks in question, not us
Chloe Healy: this is not eCheck, this is international wire
You: Some members stated they requested their withdraw almost two weeks ago and still see nothing
Chloe Healy: Without nowing the exact specifics, it is hard for me to say
Chloe Healy: but it would not be as clear cut as that
You: well surely yes the bank can cause a delay to send the money, but tell me doesn't that seem a little odd that you tell a member "well we sent the money to the bank, but it's up to them when they send it"
You: I can only imagine if you sent the money to them within 1-2 days the they would have sent out the money within 1-3 days as well. Just can't see how the bank would be causing a delay to get the money to people
Chloe Healy: An international wire can take time to go through all the channels, this is how long this takes, even eCheck could take up to 5 business days at times
You: yes echecks do take time as well.
You: can you tell me when the first of bank wires were even sent out?
Chloe Healy: We started sending bank wires last week
    Chloe Healy: late last week
You: can you be more specific such as day? oh ok so we are talking Thursday or Friday
    You: ok thank you.
You: other members pose another question or issue
You: some say they should receive an e-mail once their withdraw was processed and sent to the bank for the wire. They are not getting this e-mail to let them know their request was processed...any reason for several members not to get this e-mail
You: if I understand correctly they are to receive two e-mails? Once to confirm their request, and another to let them know their request was processed? correct?
Chloe Healy: Yes, that is correct, unfortunately, these are sometimes blocked by spam blockers
Chloe Healy: so if a customer has not got the address listed in their contacts they may not receive it
You: but they would have received every other e-mail except for this one....kind of funny if you ask me. Sure maybe one or two people yes, but were talking several hundred
Chloe Healy: I cannot comment on this without knowing the details of the people you are referring to
Chloe Healy: all I know is that bank wires are being sent
Chloe Healy: and that the confirmation email is automatically sent by the system
You: ok fair enough...so your telling me the first of the bank wires were sent late last week....so when should the people start seeing their funds?
Chloe Healy: It takes 5-7 business days
You: ok so some should see it as early as tomorrow and the first of next week?
Chloe Healy: Yes, those that were sent late last week may see it tomorrow or Monday
You: ok...and your certain of this information >
    Chloe Healy: Yes
You: I mean happens if sportsbook.com did not send the money out as you are telling people the bank wires are going out...can you imagine how many people are going to be very upset?
Chloe Healy: Yes, I could, but we are not in the business of stealing from people, and you always win more bees with honey than vinegar, ie, if you lie to people they will be a lot more unhappy than if you tell them it will be longer but you are telling the thruth
You: very true. I can just only hope sportsbook.com is paying their members now through the wire. I just hate to see all these unhappy members on the forum. People want to do business with you, but when you jeopardize their money then you lose their trust and word spreads very quickly now days.
Chloe Healy: I understand why people are upset, we have done all possible to resolve this quickly, but I know when people are worried about their money, they are going to be worried, but I can assure you that this recent stormy period is almost over
You: good to hear...and we shall know more by next Wednesday whether or not people are truly receiving their bank wires
You: Chloe I appreciate your time and honesty
    Chloe Healy: You're very welcome.
You: you have a nice day and best of luck....bye for now

Like I said by next Wednesday we will know whether or not anyone has received their money yet. Some might see it by tomorrow, but no reason for it to be any later than Wednesday. Over 20000 withdraws going out...pretty big number.
