Klay is likely to be back in January or February. The West should have 3 top 5 teams, Houston, Golden State, the Lakers.

Kawhi missed 20 games his first full year back from injury, he'll only be better this year, and it will be his second year in the system. Anunoby coming back and Siakam getting better are key, Toronto can also likely get Gasol back for cheap.

Kawhi's chances of getting back to the finals in the East with Toronto are far better than him beating Houston, the Lakers, and Golden State with the Clippers. The Clippers will always be 2nd tier to the Lakers, especially with Lebron and now Davis, no reason to be second tier in your own city when you can have your own country.
some good points in there, but Kawhi is a different guy and the Clippers would not be so high up on the totem pole unless he was truly considering them.

ZERO chance Klay comes back by January. ZERO chance. he has not had surgery yet and it will at least 8-9 mos to come back which puts him in mid Feb at the absolute earliest.

after what happened to KD, ZERO chance the team or his dad Mychal let him come back too soon.

Why not 2020? They win the East - only Milwaukee can be a problem. Whether the Lakers even get to the finals is a big question.

only milwaukee will be a problem? last year at this time people were ready to hand the East trophy to the Celtics. look what happened? bucks came out of nowhere. sixers were a game 7 nice bounce for kawhi from beating the raptors.

Do you guys realize Leonard hit a buzzer beater to beat Philly in game seven? How about if he misses it goes to overtime

Philadelphia will emerge as the bigger threat to Toronto than Milwaukee, Embiid and Simmons have room to get better Milwaukee's big mistake was giving Bledsoe a long-term deal, he can't shoot at all. Middleton is key too, if he leaves Milwaukee is done. Philadelphia can attract free agent much more than Milwaukee and they will have a much stronger bench this year.

Kawhi probably won't leave because he's the King of Canada right now.

    But he should.

He needs to understand the the ONLY reason they won a title this year is because of injuries to the other team.

    He gave Toronto a championship.

Now he should go find a team and some help to make his quest and path for another much easier.

Lol. You sound so bitter. What injuries did Milwaukee have? You know the team they were down 2-0 to? Everyone was crowning the bucks when it was 2-0.

    Bitter??

    Milwaukee??

    I'm talking about Golden State.

No way Toronto beats a healthy Warriors team.

Well we all know that but that is the warriors problem. They had no bench and there big guns played too many regular season games.

You tell me why KD played 78 regular season games?

In years past the warriors we're resting guys all year.

Let's talk about injuries if you want but make sure you mention how the warriors got lucky in 2015 when Kyrie busted his knee and love was out. They were going to lose that series in 5 games.

Cleveland would have had a shot in 2015 if Kyrie didn't get hurt but to say they would have won in 5 is laughable, the Warriors were the better team all year. Love averages around 7 points a game in the finals, his injury made little difference.

No. Kyrie got hurt in game one and warriors escaped in ot. If they had him they win. Cavs won next two and then would have been up 3-0 so in 5 very possible.

Yea but they will own the east just like bron cavs teams did if he stays. As we saw this year if you get to the finals every year anything can happen.

Lakers went from +400 to +260 and Warriors +1000 to +900.

    Probably

But I really wish Kawhi would basically say to Lebron and AD "Ok, I'll show you" and go join the Rockets or Warriors.

    That would actually be hilarious.

At this point I believe he might stay. Although don't want Toronto to be held hostage, later on down the line if decides he wants to leave.

It would still have it's risks.

Well Irving is determined to go to the Nets and Durant want to be with another star I think. K.Perkins is still close to Durant, and he says the Nets are frontrunners.

It's good news for the Warriors in reality -no way they make the playoffs next year with Thompson AND Durant on the roster and in street clothes.
